Did anyone hear or read this...?
That B**** that starred in Michael's video sued him just week before his "death"

In 2009, Jackson sold the rights of "Thriller" to the Nederlander Organization, to stage a Broadway musical based on the video.

Jackson was sued by director [in a dispute over royalties for the video; Landis claims he is owed four years worth of royalties.[15][16]

Ola Ray has also complained in the past about difficulties collecting royalties. At first, Ray blamed Jackson, but then apologized to him in 1997. However, Ray eventually sued Jackson on May 6, 2009 in a dispute to obtain uncollected royalties.[17] Jackson died suddenly less than two months later on June 25.[18]

I do not know if it is so wrong, why in the world did they wait all those many years gets me.  If you owe someone something you should pay as you had a n agreement,  Business is business, I don't know what was happening to Mike's finances back then, but if you worked on something and had a contract in place why should'nt you pay ?

I agree with letstalkagain...it's not like Ray was personally going after MJ, if royalties are due they should be paid!  Imagine going to work for a month and your employer not paying you, now tell me you would not hire an attorney!

I  hate that everywhere you look you are seeing stories about Michael not paying his bills.  He didn't pay his bills himself, someone else was responsible for all of that.  What they were doing with Michael's money when they should have been handling his financial affairs alludes me. He's always said that he leaves that to his financial managers.  Who and where were they?

I don't think he signed away the song "Thriller" but signed a contract with the company giving them the performing rights.

may sound stupid but!!

wouldn't he of had people looking after his finances.. therefore when stuff wasn't paid!!! WHO'S FAULT WAS IT!! unless they needed a signature.. which i still think would be strange seeing as pop stars order chinese food from across the water when their abroad for example.. therefore getting a signature shouldn't have been to hard..

or did he do it all hiself.. singing, dancing. buisness affairs, family, touring.. and the list goes on.. makes you wonder and gives you something to think about!! :?:  :ugeek:
