Yes, it has been sold to MJ's friend Christian Audiger the designer of Ed Hardy. He said he wouldn't move into the house, but would open it on the anniversary of MJ's death. I've thought of Carolwood also.

No, the house belongs to a friend Christian Audigier.
Audigier wanted to buy it but when he went into the house, he said he did not feel too well and decided not to buy  ;)
