I can't imagine traveling the world, listening to other music and not have that bleed into your creative thought. Can you imagine how many melodies Michael had heard by the time of the writing of this song. It had other legal issues too. Beautiful song. It is sad now though

The second lawsuit was a claim of plagiarism by Italian songwriter Albano Carrisi. Carrisi claimed that "Will You Be There" was copied from his song "I Cigni de Balaka" ("The Swans of Balaka"). After seven years, an Italian court ruled in favor of Jackson and ordered Carrisi to pay all legal fees.[5]
