Quote from: "Chamone"
The first time I saw this painting I was stunned. Who knows, maybe MJ isn't a 'normal' human being after all, he is just a very special gift to mankind that emerges every know and then.  ;)

I agree 100% with you. I've always thought that Michael was someone very, very special.
"Like an old soul in a little body".
Please, don't bash me, it's only my opinion, but if you believe in Jesus and God, why not believe that Michael was here for a special purpose? Like a new messiah? He suffered the same way and was betrayed the same way like Jesus. And all he wanted to do in his life was to love people and especially children. He wanted to heal children. He always said: 'I'm not saying I am Jesus', but, to me, he was. I can only hope that the world get a second chance and treat him with the respect this great man really deserves.
I miss him so much and my heart cries when I think of all the horrible things he had to bear.

Well! it's clear to me that MJ wanted to look that ppl from the past. I don't believe for one minute that he just happened to have all of those surgeries without a vision of a face. People do it everyday! He was no different. Just my opinion! Keep the Faith!

The other way to look at this is ...

We have all heard about people who do not feel comfortable in thier own skin for one reason or another.
The most common is man trapped in womans body or vice versa.

To me it seems that Michael was uncomfortable in his own skin and attempted to obtain a certain "look".

What he saw in the mirror as opposed to what he thought he *should* see were obviously 2 different images.  So it is possible that he did not see a certain picture and wish to become that picture.

For example he loathed his original nose and wished to mold it, so that when he looked in the mirror he would see himself.  I don't know how to word it... like the original *self* he saw wasn't him for some reason....

Nope still don't see Michael. At least not in the sculpture  :|
The painting might look a little like him but that's it, doesn't have to mean anything.
