Earth song at grammy awards

I have listen to Earth song at Grammy awards, and compared thar with the recorded one, because on grammy it sounds like he's singing live, and when i compared, he MUST be singing live. Listen to the word sunrise in the begining of the song, at grammy he pulls out more on rise, same the with the word world in the second verse.
