Wow. I am probably reading too much into this, but that video jumped out at me.

The first song is called I Am Love and this is a link to the lyrics: -

I think they are very interesting, including the line that says "hate is driving me away"

And it is sung by Jermaine. Jermaine being the front man for a while, sounds familiar..
