I just finished listening to the remake of We Are The World.  I'm very impressed.  They did an awesome job with this remake, I really really like it a lot!  They created an up to date version of a great song, which I'm sure will sell great, and that's of course the purpose of this remake.

Here's the video:

Luckily the kids aren't involved, at least in the video I watched ; could someone confirm that they didn't read any poems?

I'll give them some slack .. it being for such a urgent cause and all. If it wasn't I would've thrown a fit at how crap this version is..Seems like none of these mainstream pop artists have character. Celine and Jennifer tryed to make the best out of it but with that little boy starting out and the auto tuning at the end...they weren't able to save the song. At least we have the brilliant orginal to listen to.

That song is so POWERFUL !! Fantastic, amazingly beautiful.. They all did a great job. Very impressive indeed. The vocals are great and I think the rap part was a great touch.  I bought it on iTunes. It made me cry and cry.. Went deep into my heart. I love it so much.. It is so strong. To all the world.. We all must love and help one another. I love it.  :D

I really thought Michael from 2010 would be in it somehow. But I think I was wrong.. But that doesn't matter ;) I am sure Michael helped Lional :) But why wasn't Lional singing?? He also made the song so he should also be singing! :)

I thought the kids would do a poem but there is no poem.. :S that sucks..

NO NO NO!!! I wasn't going to listen to it but I was too curious... The best part? Michael of course! the 2 seconds of it  :x  Seeing and hearing Michael made me cry - again. Putting him in there for those few seconds just reminds me more of his absence, although Lionel's not singing at least we see him directing but Michael...    Whenever I listen to the original version, the beautiful masterpiece, it goes straight to my heart while this version makes me go STOP, where's Stevie, Ray Charles, Bruce Springsteen, Cindy?!! I know it's for a good cause but I can't help this sad feeling it invokes in me  :(  This was the first and only time I'll listen to this version. I want you Michael and ONLY you! The absence of your magical presence is making my heart ache terribly

Thanks Mo for posting this.

This remake is fabulous with the voices of everyone so perfectly placed and talent so excellently executed!!!

I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE RAP SECTION which brings this song up to date to include all facets of musicians.  Glad to see Michael's real brothers getting their fair place for the world to appreciate and hear.  Bravo !

It touched me. Especially the parts with MJ. The song moves me no matter what. I've cried everytime I've watched it.
