Maybe I'm too optimistic, IDK, but I've been hopeful all along that vindication has been key. It's like a color woven in a fabric with many colors - this color is one of the bolder ones that stand out to me.

I agree, and mostly because I think this aspect of the hoax is mainly for his children's sake. Who would want their children to go through life, knowing the truth themselves but having to deal with fingers pointed and constant suspicion about their father from almost everyone they come up against?  If you could do something about clearing your name once and for all, and freeing them of that unnecessary burden, wouldn't you most definitely do it?

I feel not only they have a statement of Jordan, but also many other conversations which might help Michael to clear his name and to expose the cheaters and leeches. What about this excerpt from Jermaine's book (page 211, hardcover):

..........."Michael was a prolific note-taker and note-sender, and he went through casette after casette on that tape-recorder of his. I suspect there are numerous attorneys, producers, record-label executives and managers who were close to Michael WITHOUT REALISING that the record button was pressed to capture a moment OR PROTECT HIS INTERESTS. Over the years, as his fame and succes grew, the motivation to record conversations had less to do with capturing advice than what people said about others or harsh words said to him."...."I think many underestimated Michael...."

What I don't know is: Are you allowed to use secretly taped conversations as proof?

@Curls - I think you are so right. As I read your words the Dave Dave interview popped into my head (to free myself from the confines of my fathers criminality). We know that MJ was/is innocent of those charges but the world at large doesn't and thinking in line with clearing his name for his legacy's sake this sentence makes abundant sense (for those like me that believe MJ was Dave Dave)

That is definitely interesting - why would Jermaine put that in there unless it's to give a "whisper" or hint that people should think twice. I wonder how many people are wracking their brains trying to remember if they said anything off color.

Now - where are those tapes? In Neverland? In a safety deposit box or vault somewhere? At the Encino home? At Callabasas? I highly, highly doubt that Michael has them with anyone but himself or in a safe, highly protected location.

They sure are! If they were snatched away just like the tapes of the pepsi-accident (by Michael's people), they'll come to the surface, sooner or later! Let's hope so!

Generally, no you cannot. In most states you must have consent of both parties OR the conversation must have been in a place where the other person had a reasonable chance of being overheard by someone's natural ear.

However, the press generally can use the "for public good" loophole to justify taping conversations for use in news articles, if they can prove reasonably it is for the public good that the convo was taped and subsequently shared as news information.

Also however, IF MJ could persuade Jordy (or whoever was the other part[ies]y on the alleged tapes) to give his consent, then these alleged tapes could become public with no legal ramifications.

This is IF there are any tapes like this at all.

It is equally possible that any tapes that may exist contain statements made by persons fully aware of the recording device.

Voice, you can only love the genius Michael is! @Bec mentioned it before and I think she is right about it: Unbreakable, Invincible, Threatened! These lyrics weren't written out of the blue, he knew what was coming. And he refused to be the victim in the end. If the tapes still exist, no doubt they will become public...in time! And for sure that some people already peeing their pants, knowing what they said to him or threatened him! Can't wait!

When he was talking about the questions people asked him in interviews, he always wondered why they would him questions about who he dated or if he was a virgin (how disrespectful can one be??) and he said that he was an admirerer of michelangelo and he would like to ask him anything about his craftsmanship. Well, I'm a big admirere of Michaels craftsmanship on all levels and I'm still eager to learn more!

About using the conversations: I can't remember right now, and I know there wasn't a trial in 1993, but was the secretly taped telephone conversation between Chandler and Schwartz considered as some kind of 'evidence'?

It would seem that MJ methodology has been to 'leak' things on line to the public arena at choice times.  How totally jubilant would be the world-wide fan base at this--couldn't contain them!!!

This still reminds me of this dream I had about MJ a couple of years ago. I was in a very posh busy place with red carpet like a large casino, and all the men were in dark suits. Though I didn't see MJ at all, I knew there was a buzz in the air about him --little clusters of men looking very fearful and I could hear the name Michael Jackson occasionally.  It was like heads were going to roll.

Aaaawwww, thank you Aussie  :bearhug: back! This is the most awesome journey ever! Front's and Back's posts are making so much sence to me now, but I wonder about TS. He hasn't post anything in a long time except for the signs, which are hard for me to read because of my lack of knowledge of the bible. I don't know if you read all TS's posts, if you did, do you feel Front/Back/TS are still on the same track? Would love to hear some opinions, especially on TS's former posts ( before the SIGNS posts).

I can't recall who wrote it, but someone mentioned the whole Jackson feud a recap of what happened with Michael in the past. That reminded me of the rearview mirror Front posted. What was behind/happened in the past was also in front of us (going to happen in the future).
