A friend of mine pointed out that the photo of Michael wearing the Smurf shirt is from June 18, 2009 - 7 days before he "died". I wonder if that is significant?
...In his monologue Wednesday night, Lopez himself predictably joked that his ethnicity was the reason for his firing."Big news!" he said. "Sony just announced they're doing a sequel to the Smurfs movie, so today I lost some work because I'm brown, but also I got some work because I'm blue."But during his final outing on TBS last night, Lopez expressed no bitterness and was all about the love for his crew, his friends Eva Longoria, Slash, Arsenio Hall, Ron Artest and Derek Fisher -- all of whom appeared -- and his fans.Of course, there was some humor about the firing, delivered in the guise of the character called Creepy Little White Girl, who delivered increasingly bad news: that Erik Estrada was being hired as the replacement, that there are not a lot of jobs for Latinos on TV, that a few of them involve whispering to dogs and that he was running out of show titles using his name.“Thanks for reminding me,” said Lopez, as the band launched into a blistering rendition of Cee Lo Green’s “F--- You.”At the very end, after ordering cameras to shoot the audience so everyone could see how inclusive it was, the host could be seen with tears in his eyes as he proclaimed “Next year in Jerusalem.”Who is having the last laugh here? No one at “Conan” can be resting easy either, as its ratings have also taken a nosedive.

She is not Back or TS. Yes, still I'm still skeptical about Front but I'm keeping my mind open. I'm not calling BJ a troll but I am saying she is not even close to being an insider. As far a that premier of the movie Smurf's - in addition to who was there, I also see the Sony Make.Believe firmly behind Brook Shields. As far as that picture of Michael in the Smurf shirt - I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think that is Michael. Yes, I've seen the video many times of him coming out of Klein's office but something about that picture doesn't sit well with me. It just doesn't look like Michael to me. I will be the first to say I'm wrong if I am.Gina - I've seen a change in you these past few months. I like where your mind is now Blessings to you all.
GinafeliciaI think it is Michael in that pic because I think those are his hands.
I don't want to beat this Smurf theme but I did find an interesting connection. George Lopez' show was canceled with little notice. Here is an article which details that last show. George makes reference to the Smurfs and Sony as well as racism. The last song played was Cee Lo Green's F... You. Cee Lo is scheduled to perform at the October 8th tribute. You are not allowed to view links. Should I say I don't like the movie from only watching its trailer? It's actually worse. This is just one more example of ruining a nice story into U.S. sweet pink flatness. Aliens fleeing their home to get into better Ameriland. Bah. Sony are presenting themselves not being any different from Disney. What a lost chance. The Smurfs are not "the Smurfs" but "Les Schtroumpfs" or "De Smurfen" and their birthplace is Belgium, Europe.Their story is a parody in view of the partitionment of this small hence influencial European country into the northern "Dutch" and the southern "Wallonian" (French speaking) region. It was published as a comic book with its origin dating back to 1958. There was a TV series and a video / DVD release. There is a theme park Walibi Schtroumpf in Belgium.QuoteIn 2005, an advertisement featuring The Smurfs was aired in Belgium in which the Smurf village is annihilated by warplanes.[...] It was the keystone in a fund-raising campaign by UNICEF's Belgian arm to raise money for the rehabilitation of former You are not allowed to view links. They all look alike like they all jumped out of one mold only.)
