It's basically Michael's acapella from the original (as playback) and the band playing live. Remember that artists do more than one take, so even if this is not the take used and mixed on the cd, it is still from the same session, besides, music can be easily manipulated, the key changed to suit the performance etc. You can also see Paul cue the playback at around 3:08-3:12. It is definately not Michael singing live. Sorry.

Yeah I don't think it is MJ singing live but I like how Paul did the whole tribute :)

Thanks, that is a fabulous video, I always have liked Paul Anka and for him to have included MJ in his show is very generous and shows his love for MJ.

Is it LIVE or MEMOREX ???

Now the mission is to find the you tube video artist who posted on here with the backmasking of MJs recording.  The recording of Tii from MJ is supposedly the original done with his brothers but MJ took it back into the studio and did some remixing before the Tii usage, which is when he may have added the message that we heard in the back masking. Remember how creepy that was?  Are you following me on this?

This recording with Paul needs to be back masked to see if it is live or the recorded version.  IMO it DOES sound different.  It is much slower for one thing.  I hear differences in the way he drops the words.

I'm on it.  Be back later............xoxoxo

It sounds different for sure. It could be just a different recording of it. What I think is weird is that we are seeing a pattern with all his vocals since the "death"..there is AlWAYS something different to make us wonder. Like the spoken part of "Will You Be There", the Grammy tribute, and now this. You'd think the easiest and most logical thing to do would be to use the original recording. It wouldn't make sense for them to search for a different one UNLESS Michael himself is in charge and wanting to choose them as clues to the fans. Nothing else seems to make sense to me.

What you have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare. It isn't. It's the beginning.

I just sent an email to Thethisisit1 channel who did the back masking of this song last week.  Let's see what opinion we get.
