Did anyone else think it strange that in the middle of Beyonce's song she cut to Alanis Morrissettes song You Oughta Know

I thought firstly it was a very strange song for Beyonce to cut to. Then when you listen to the lyrics I think there was a big clue in there. Given the obvious MJ theme the song makes sense.

Here is what Beyonce sings which differs slightly from the original song.

I want you to know, that I'm happy for you
I want nothing but the best for you both

An older version of me
Mr Duplicity
I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face
How quickly I was replaced
Baby were you thinking of me when you ........

'cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able
To make it enough for you to be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me you'd hold me
Until you died, till you died
But you're still alive

And I'm here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair to deny me
Of the cross I bear
You, you, you oughta know

What do you think?

I think it's just a tribute-thing. Dont think she has anything to do with the hoax.

It's not like everybody can be in the hoax... :|

What I noticed is that she used soldiers that (to me) looked like the soldiers costumes that were used in MJ's "They don't care about us" screen on TII....and using soldiers had nothin to do with her song (if I were a boy)   wtf??????

well no the soldiers didn't have anything to do with it and the outfits did remind me of TDCAU but the "if i were a boy" video Beyonce made was based on being a cop.
so its kinda like the army of swat team cops was apart of her performance....that's how i would think of it  :geek:
