Hm, Playing Records Backwards?
January 03, 2010, 09:49:31 PM
Now, I admit that I know very little about vinyl records, but I do know that sometimes if you play them backwards they have weird sayings or messages. Maybe we should try that with the Bad thru TII vinyls!

Sounds like a great idea, I'd be curious to see what anyone finds out.  :?  Unfortunatly I cant help out though cause I dont have a record player and I dont even own a vinyl record but I hope others do and will try listenning to them backwards to let us know what happens.

Great idea hun.

Now that I think of it, I believe it works with cassettes as well. You hit the play and reverse button together and it plays really slury and sometimes you can hear hidden messages behind the music. I use to do that when I was a teenager.

Again I dont own any tapes. I could kick myself in the butt sometimes   I hate clutter and throw out all kinds of things cause at the moment I am discarding items I think I will never ever need or use this again so it's gotta go cause I have nowhere to store it anyway.   Then a few years down the road I realize I could have had a use for it...grr...

U sound like my mom, LOL! Yeah, I wish I had some too, but I'm sure some longtime fan here will have some, right? I do have cassettes, though, but they're all homemade..

What do you mean they are homemade? Are they a cassette you copied of an original soundtrack? If it is the case you could try, it should work.

I'm sure your mom is lovely and a very nice person then. ;)

If you have any music on your computer, you can easily listen them backwards with Windows.
My Windows is in Finnish, so I don't know what it is in English, but there is this programme which you can use to record stuff with microphone. Just open any song with it and turn in backwards.

My boyfriend told me, that 2Pac also did this subliminal verses-thing....when you played them backwards, you heard messages like "I'll be back" and stuff like that....

Because vinyl and a good record player literally sounds better and has better quality than digital. DJ's spin vinyl still which is what audiophiles want.

Yeah. I know what you're talking about. I recorded my voice and then played it backwards once. I sounded like I was casting a spell or something.  :o  Weird. For anyone with Windows, it's the Sound Recorder in Accessories. ^_^

Just play your MJ song and put your computer microphone up to the speaker. Record it. Then play it backwards. There's an option to do that.
