Family Gathers as Tito Jackson Laid to Rest at Los Angeles Funeral After His Death at Age 70

The original Jackson 5 member died Sept. 15 after suffering a medical emergency in New Mexico, according to the Gallup Police Department

Tito Jackson's loved ones have laid the late musician to rest.

After the original Jackson 5 member's death at age 70 on Sept. 5, a funeral service was held in his memory at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Monday, Nov. 4.

According to photos obtained by PEOPLE, Michael Jackson's children Paris and Bigi (formerly known as Blanket) were in attendance at their uncle's memorial.

Paris, 26, appeared to be wearing a black dress and black boots, while Bigi, 22, sported a black suit with a white button-down shirt and tie.

According to the Daily Mail, La Toya Jackson and Marlon Jackson were at the gathering, as well as two of Jermaine Jackson's children, Jaafar Jackson and Jermajesty Jackson.

Kimora Lee Simmons, ex-wife of music mogul Russell Simmons, was also among the guests at the funeral, per the New York Post's Page Six.

On the day of Tito's death, the musician suffered a medical emergency at a New Mexico shopping center, the Gallup Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE in a press release.

Officers were notified of "an individual requiring medical attention and promptly requested an ambulance" near the American Heritage Plaza around 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 15, in Gallup, N.M.

The individual, later identified as Tito, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the press release said.

Last month, Tito's sister Janet shared a sweet tribute to him on her Instagram Stories. "May you rest in eternal peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I miss you so much! ❤️" she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of a young Janet standing before her older brother wearing a fedora and printed shirt.

In addition to Tito and Janet, the iconic Jackson family tree includes siblings Rebbie, 74, Jackie, 73, Jermaine, 69, La Toya, 68, Marlon, 67, Brandon — who died after birth in 1957 — the late Michael and Randy, 62.

Tito was also a father to sons Taj, 51, Taryll, 49, and TJ, 46, with ex-wife Delores "Dee Dee" Martes.

Taj, TJ and Taryll, who perform in the group 3T, shared a joint post in tribute to their father after his death. "It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken," they wrote.

"Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being," they continued. "Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as 'Coach Tito' or some know him as 'Poppa T.' Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be 'Tito Time' for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love One Another.' We love you Pops."
