CONRAD MURRAY
SINGS LIKE A (DYING) CANARY
Over MJ's Death

4/2/2013 5:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Conrad Murray has broken his silence about NOT testifying in the Michael Jackson
wrongful death trial ... and he did it by SINGING on live TV.

Murray -- who is serving a 4-year sentence for killing MJ -- called into "Anderson
Cooper 360" moments ago from jail. At first he sang the same old tune ... insisting he
was innocent and in the process of appealing the case.

But then he did something really, really weird -- belting out his version of "The Little Boy
That Santa Clause Forgot" (better sung by Nat King Cole)!

Murray seemed to be explaining how much he and MJ had in common ... and why he's
chosen to plead the 5th in Katherine Jackson's $40 billion suit against AEG -- but you
gotta watch it, because his singing is super awkward ... and awful.

Anderson Cooper and Ol Flanny Pants look like they could be related in that photo.

Do you give up yet?

Full lyrics to The Little Boy That Santa Clause Forgot:

He's the little boy
that Santa Clause forgot,
And goodness knows,
he didn't want a lot.

He sent a note to Santa
For some soldiers and a drum,
It broke his little heart
When he found Santa hadn't come.

In the street he envies
all those lucky boys,
Then wanders home
to last year's broken toys.
I'm so sorry for that laddie,
He hasn't got a daddy,
The little boy
that Santa Clause forgot.

Spoken:
(You know,
Christmas comes but once a year
for every girl and boy,
The laughter and the joy
they find in each brand new toy.
I'll tell you of a little boy
that lives across the way...
This little fella's
Christmas is just another day.
He's the little boy
that Santa Claus forgot,
And goodness knows,
he didn't want a lot.)

In the street
he envies all those lucky boys,
Then wanders home
to last year's broken toys.
I'm so sorry for that laddie,
He hasn't got a daddy,
The little boy
that Santa Clause forgot

remember Paris tweeting a few weeks ago the pic of her wearing the ripped Pink Floyd t-shirt and the writing on the mirror???

Well "The Little Boy that Santa Claus Forgot"  is used in the movie by Pink Floyd "The Wall" !!!  woo hooo

Here is the video...the lyrics for it start at 2:21 and at the same time a watch with Mickey Mouse is shown  :icon_e_biggrin:

I think Murray could be a good singer, because I'm still not convinced he's not acting his part, accent and all.
Cool song by NKC!

Murray's song about the little boy who santa forgot reminds me of us. Remember how hyped up we were around Christmas time? Such big expectations then followed by much despondency and disappointment as we wandered back to play with last years broken toys [ revisiting older threads].  All we wanted was some soldiers and a drum [and a leader whose been MIA ....at least visually] so the army of LOVE could kick some elite type ass.

Yeah - it does....which then in turn also reminds me of Front's "necessary early Christmas" wishes to us   :suspect:

OMG, I've read everything you guys wrote, unfortunately I didn't have the time to watch the link to the CM interview, but I can barely wait to see it. Anyway, reading what you all wrote, I cannot help but wondering about all the singing stuff, who is actually Santa Clause supposed to be, even though I agree with Adi on the expectations around Christmas time...and that in a way, the little boy could be us.
But it's not fair for me to talk when I haven't even seen the interview. So I'm gonna watch it first :p
I couldn't help myself though, from expressing both my surprise and my...confusion.
