That was incredible. It seemed as if Elvis were there.  When I heard about the story that was leaked about MJ's hologram I immediately thought that the story was put out to justify MJ's return to the stage with the Jackson Four. It ties in perfectly with everything that has happened so far.

@ Eva

i totally know where your coming from.. you mean they would have to have an original video of the performance.. like they did with Elvis showing how they did it..

like if he did somet from the dangerous tour we'd all recognise it cos of the tour an the brothers would learn a routine that co-inside with what mike is doin.. not that i believe they could at their age now!!

i still don't like the idea.. i think its too soon!! but i wonder what they could use!!

I've always thought that this way the way he was going to come back, ever since I read the story that leaked (rather conveniently) about the hologram.  There have been too many "coincidences" ever since June 25th.  Truthfully speaking it was the only way to get people to listen to his music again without all the prejudice concerning the lies that were spread about him.

Quote from: "Eva R"
but i think people has to do it first to be like that hologram of elvis with celine. Because Elvis already did that song and dance and stuff.. that is just a video. and they took elvis out the video you know. so Elvis has just done it like in that video. So if anyone makes that, there has to be a original video of it. right?

Well, yes and no.

Considering how easy it is to use actors and computer graphics to superimpose someone else's face on another's body, it's not hard at all to pretend that say Michael and Jermaine are dancing storm troopers from Star Wars.
Except if you add better technology, you can make it look MORE real rather than on someone's siggie I saw(it was very cute and funny  :D )

Also, you have to realize that what they used for the Elvis "performance" was a VIDEO of the performance!  Not an actual performance happening somewhere else at that time.  So they added effects to make it look real and current.   At this point you can make a video of almost anything and make it look real - science fiction movies(Harry Potter, War of the Worlds, etc), 3d special effects, etc.  Some effects were also used in TII where they took video of a few of the dancers and then multiplied it so it looked like a whole army. This same video could be turned into a holographic image.  He also used 3d effects for Thriller.

What I'm trying to say(sorry having a hard time finding the words   ) is that it isn't a concern where they can take a recording of something currently happening or make a special video to use as a hologram - like the Will.I.Am thing.  The concern is that they can take a video that is NOT shot with the purpose of hologram and turn it into one.  Then you can make a hologram of anything.  Hope that makes sense.

I'd be very surprised if it hasn't already been done.

Yes, you do make alot of sense  That's exactly what I was thinking.  They would need to use old footage first,  pre-recorded from the past, then they can place him on stage, during the Jackson 4 concerts, and it could look like he was really there, and then surprise surprise....................Michael Jackson becomes the real thing.  Just like a magician's act, or just like Criss Angel.....Lets see if they use a red curtain drop in their concerts.........................  They did in the 02 conference, didn't they?

I agree, when you think about it I do not think that anyone has the right to do this. When Elvis was alive he had a choice who he could perform in front of an audience with and when and doing something like this using the image and performance of an artist to me is not right. So in other words they can use the image and voice of departed artists such as Elvis and Michael and use as and with whom they want? Something wrong here. Is nothing sacred?

JUST BECAUSE YOU READ IT IN THE MAGASINE OR SEE IT ON THE TV-SCREEN DONT MAKE IT FACTUAL.

Jermaine did say they wanted to add some sort of hollogram on stage at the tribute concert so they could all perform with MJ again.  Look how this duet with Celion Dion and Elvis Presley was done not so long ago.  It's all new technology and special effects, but it looks like he is really there.
I THINK THATS WHEN MICHAEL JACKSON WILL RETURN....
Is that when MJ jumps out and says "SURPRISE"

It would be awesome...but don't you think people would go crazy?!I mean like really CRAZY in an unhealthy way...People always cried and freaked out at Michael's concerts anyway...
But If they realized that it is indeed Michael on stage...I think it would be very dangerous.
Some people could get a heart attack or there could be a mass panic... :?

Tereza, I totally agree with you.  I looked at the video with Celine and Elvis.  I am totally gobsmacked.  If there is a hologram of MJ on the Jackson's Comeback tour in 2010 of this high quality, I think people maybe so come over with emotion.  I really do people may have heart attacks or rush the stage if they think it is MJ.  Elvis's hologram actually cast shadows that is amazing!

You rocked my world, you know you did
And everything I own I give
The rarest love who\'d think I\'d find
Someone like you to call mine

"Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul, and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation."
------Michael Jackson

Forget the Elvis performance (although it's amazing), because that would only work on TV, NOT live for an audience!!!

OK, here's a two links about Live-3D-holograms.

This one made me cry... The music... and then I imagined Michael to appear like that.

This technology is a possibility for Michael to perform a worldwide concert or make a worldwide announcement, which makes me think of Cassandra Gretchen Sims, who said that Michael will make a worldwide tour and the tickets will be free(?).
I thought it was all BS, but seeing this - it would actually be possible! They'll obviously have to think about the ticket pricing... ;-)
That would be "V for Vendetta" times 1,000,000!  :D

Michaels brothers have been milking this since day one!  I doubt if there is any one on this planet who would go and see them.... after all, the only reason anyone went to see them before was because Michael was with them right?

As Suzy says, the whole thing is very disrespectful, not to mention greedy of them  ;)

Don't know much about the technology used for this (yes hologram I know), but i didn't expect shadows..

Hehehe, that's because a body double was standing on stage. Notice the shots from far away and from behind.
