I am the only one that noticed the fact that in the full performance, when the hologram disappeared, they were playing the opening sequence to off the wall. Or how about the fact that when the hologram was completely gone we hear tupac say Coachella one last time and it sounded completely live. Reminds you of someone else sounding live at a tribute huh?

10 Musicians Who Should Resurrect As Holograms (LIST
When late great rapper Tupac's hologram appeared on this year's Coachella Music Festival's stage, the world was absolutely speechless.

VIDEO: TUPAC BACK! Tupac's Hologram Performs At 2012 Coachella Music Festival

It seemed so surreal to see Tupac Shakur performing alongside Snoop Dogg 15 years after being shot multiple times on the infamous night of September 7, 1996.

The slightly eerie yet amazing hologram mimicked all the real life movements Tupac would do if he were still alive.

Tupac isn't the first musician to come back as a hologram, Michael Jackson came back as a less realistic looking hologram during a tribute concert.

The AR (as usual with the mysterious cases of some "Kings" in the City of Los Angeles...) has some obvious inconsistenes in weight, height etc. The last pic in the car with Suge is a photoshop. Tupac predicted in some of his songs that he planned to die. Plus there's a FBI file that he and Easy E received death threats.

exit 2pac enter Makaveli
There's a good chance that Makaveli Tha Don is currently releasing underground music through a front image / artist called "Kasinova Tha Don" - so he can stay in the background. The songs sound 99% like Pac (lyrics, style etc.). He also have a song with Hussein Fatal from his former group Tha Outlawz. Normally Hussein wouldn't collaborate with an impersonator and would diss the sh*t out of him...

P.S. sorry for off-topic

Apparently this feat will be accomplished by a production company that created a hologram of Mariah Carey for a Christmas concert last year in five different places simultaneously in Europe that was sponsored by Deutsche Telekom. According to KROQ,“Thousands were convinced Mariah was there in person but in actuality she was a hologram.” The video below shows a graphically convincing image, but let’s hope Dre’s production values are less cheesy than the Mariah execution shown here.

Apparently this Mariah Carey concert was an interesting pilot project. This innovative hologram business seems to be THE future.

Agreed!  Cirque is top notch in every way.  Why the cheezy hologram.  And I'm sorry.  When was that Tupac concert?  Cuz that does NOT look like a hologram.  Sorry.  Was it just a projection from another concert?  And does the hologram sing too?

and another thing....

Here's an article from Business Week...Love the title

How Tupac Became a Hologram (Plus: Is Elvis Next?)

At one point, Tupac even shouts “What the f— is up, Coachella!” even though the music festival didn’t start until three years after his death.

Even if I grant that Tupac was a hologram.....where did the voice come from?  And I can't help but notice his stance with outstretched arms.   :bearhug:

Then there's this article in Forbes (isn't that where the Raffles story broke?)

Although you can watch almost all of the Coachella performances streaming live on YouTube, Saturday’s headline performance by Radiohead and Sunday’s by Dre and Snoop unfortunately will not be streamed. Apparently you can only see the hip hop ghosts if you show up live.

Whenever I see a TMZ article on Tupac, I always think of this article, posted almost 2 months before June 25, 2009.

Tupac Is Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TMZ has obtained photographic evidence that Tupac Shakur is alive and well and drinking Hand Grenades in New Orleans -- unless we're terribly mistaken.

13 years after he was shot and "killed" in Las Vegas ... a man appearing to be 2pac was spotted in a bar on Bourbon Street last weekend.

We were unable to get any sort of DNA evidence -- but this photo is good enough for us.

Thug life, bitches.

Tink

Sony & Sega have been working on this for an awfully long time, hate to burst all your bubbles. I'll let you in on the secret, rather than laugh. They started with the Vocaloids Live in Japan, where they use Anime Holograms live in concert with live bands & orchestras. It's really quite the rage! It's the SAME Holographic type screen, if you pay attention - and it's quite a shock, when the second character jumps out of the first:

This one, condensed from a show, shows how rich the 3D characters are - A Vocaloid character  turns into an Archangel @3:49, which totally wows the audience - THIS is what entertainment is morphing into:

If you watch "Tupac" watch his feet closely; therein is the lie, plus how they brought him up! Just like the other Vocaloids, exactly like how they bring them up in some of the concerts! They have "costume changes," etc. "Tupac" character was created composite, overlaying a "skin" on top of a 3D model body. That's why it slips, and goes through almost the same motions, on a sort of loop with limited motion. It's actually quite archaic, on the standards we have now - they only had footage to "skin" the model from.

My understanding of a hologram is that it is projected onto a back drop, which appears to be the case in the Japanese videos just posted, and is what is explained in this article.

It's impressive but not nearly as convincing as the Tupac one.  Not convinced.

Also, it appears that this was a 'surprise.'  However, costs for the 'hologram' were estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands.  Poor marketing, I would suggest.  And now they're talking a 'tour' with the hologram?  And what about the 'estate of...'?  Do they get some kind of say and/ or share in this venture?  Can I make a hologram of Elvis and go on tour?

Makaveli’s Death - The Facts! 1. 2Pac died on Friday 13th (September 1996). This was exactly 7 months, to the day, after the release of All Eyez On Me (released February 13th 1996).

2. 2Pac's time of death is recorded as 4:03 p.m.(4+3=7).

3. 2Pac was shot on the 7th of September.

4. 2Pac survived 7 days. (7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 'died on the 13th....)

5. R U STILL DOWN (Remember Me ?) was released on November 25th (2+5=7)

6. In the Toss It Up video, he also smashes the mirror, perhaps a reference to 7 years bad luck

7. In Tupac's last movie ''Gang Related'' his badge number is 115(1+1+5=7).

8. On Jon B's CD "cool relax" the song "Are You Still Down" featuring 2pac is track 7. Tupac is on track 7 on daz's new album

9. Tupac is on track 7 on daz's new album

10. In the movie, "Gridlock'd," when Tupac and Roth are in the diner and they glance up at the menu, all the L's are upside down 7's.

11. On the song, "White Man's World" if you listen very closely at the beginning, there is a voice in the background saying, " 7 years, 7 years, 7 years...

12. He died when he was 25 years old (2+5=7)

13. 2pacs funeral was cancelled the day before then created the next day noone saw the body

In Tupac's song, "No More Pain," he says, "A heart of a soldier with the brains to teach a whole nation..." Is he referring to Jesus or Machiavelli?

The video, "I Ain't Mad At Cha, " was released only days after Tupac's, "death." It depicts Tupac being gunned down much of the way he was really shot.

"I Ain't Mad At Cha," is also track number 13 on, "All Eyez On Me," and Tupac died on Friday the 13

In the, "I Ain't Mad At Cha," video, Tupac dies. In his next video, "Toss It Up," his name is Makaveli.

In the, "Hail Mary," video, there is a gravestone that says, "Makaveli." It is cracked and there's a hole in front of it; this inplies that Makaveli rose from the dead.

And here's the number 7 Again :suspect:

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”
― Michael Jackson

One of Machiavelli's books is, "Discourses Upon The First Ten Books Of Titus Livy," which it's claimed Tupac read in jail. In Book 2, Chapter XIII He says, "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to decieve..." This is very similar to verses in some of Tupac's songs.2Pac got the alias "Makavel" from a 16th century Italian philosipher named Nicolas Machiavelli. Machiavelli wrote 3 books: The Art of War, Discourses Upon the First Ten Books of Titus Livy, and "The Prince". 2Pac had supposedly read Machiavelli's books several times. In Discourses Upon the First Ten Books of Titus Livy, Machiavelli writes that "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to deceive". In "Makaveli the Don Killuminati The 7 Day Theory" it says Exit:2pac, Enter: Makaveli. Is the only way for 2Pac to live the life he wants to deceive his enemies by faking his own death and living on as the unseen

Some say that Tupac modified the Machiavelli name because if you rearrange the letters, they spell, "Am Alive," or, "I Am Alive."

Machiavelli's books were called, "Book 1," and, "Book 2." The CD's of, "All Eyez On Me," are entitled the same
