the comments about michael not wanting to moonwalk in his 50s got me thinking something ive been thinking for years.. MJ was innovative, he wanted to create NEW things, give birth to art, renew himself every once in a while, if not every day, i know i do.. it mustve been in a sense very suffocating knowing your audience expects the same things all over again decade after decade.. I mean moonwalk was something he invented in his early twenties.. it embodied the energy, the vitality and power of a young intense man.. no doubt he still is powerful and very vital, but also a father and a man who's seen it all, he's not a young tiger, but a wise elephant (albeit a very handsome one)..  if he kept doing the same things all over again, of course it wont be the same, i mean compare a 25 year old to a 50 year old and there's a difference. it's only natural. of course he can do the moonwalk. no doubt about it. but i bet it gets boring to answer to the same expectations year after year, tour after tour, show after show, for someone as extraordinarily talented and mind-blowingly creative as he is. .. there's so much more in him to share. and now if we think about michael having achieved professionally everything there is to achieve and wanting to move on to films and such. it sort of makes sense to me, him not wanting to moonwalk in his 50s.. the creation is ever-evolving and my thoughts are that he mustve felt a little trapped in his greatness.. maybe that's partly why KOP had to go. to claim his artistic freedom back, without the same wants and needs of his audience that followed him through decades. jmo.

Now reversed, notice the words looks like in MJ's writing, if anybody can help make them out. All I can make out is:
"Elsewhere, improvisation, acting"  Paris told Oprah she used to do improv with her Dad when asked if she had acted before.

Very interesting MJonmind. It's definitely Michaels handwriting. My eyes can't make much more words out of it. "Ash.." something  :icon_e_biggrin:

i also see the words "we need" almost at the bottom of the letter. and third sentence i think i read "Im pretty..."

This is what I see:

Dentist (?)
"Elswhere"
Davelle (?)
{ improvisation dancing (crossed out)
acting involved

Ash... "We need ... (a few more words; overlay) ... wary (?)"

At the bottom, it looks to be a "V", but Paris' name is causing another overlay.

Because she is a direct family member of the deceased. Trayvon's parents were in court every day too even though they were witnesses.

Are you entertained?

Michael once stated in an interview he didn't want to do the moonwalk every time he performed Billie Jean, but the fans had come to expect it and he didn't want the fans to be let down. He wanted to do more with the performances, to be more innovative, but in a sense, it became his signature. Now if I could just find the interview that corroborates what I've said, lol...Can't remember if it was a video or a print article...

Bina talked about the day MJ died. Chase said she got Prince because  it was such a serious matter.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Chase said she didn't think was going to make sense to stop what she was doing to out the house and look for security.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
After getting Prince, Chase returned to work. At some point, Chase and the housekeepers were told to leave the house.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
"We were asked to leave, the paramedics was still there," Chase said.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Chase asked Alberto Alvarez, MJ's security guard, if MJ was ok? She said he told her he would be fine.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Alvarez asked Chase if she ever signed a confidentiality agreement. She said she had not, but Chase believes the housekeepers had.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Alvarez asked Chase to sign something on the spot. "He asked me to sign some sort of a paragraph not on letterhead," Chase explained.

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Bina: Did it require you to keep things confidential?
Chase: It never said that

ABC7 Court News ‏@ABC7Courts 23h
Chase signed it but said she can't remember what it said. She then left the house. That was the last time she was at the Carolwood house.

Talking about Trayon case ,something doesen't seems right to me, I believe something is rotten in the middle  :animal0017: ,cause  I remember perfectly that during the Murray trial, I saw some pictures of Trayvon ,and I was like  :WTF: !!!! Just like in Murray case strrange things happened during this trial. For example please watch this video where George Zimmerman's lawyer makes a very strange joke   :icon_eek::  :WTF:

Quote
"Knock-knock." "Who's there?" "George Zimmerman." "George Zimmerman, who?" "Alright good. You're on the jury."

Now ,for the things to go even more weirder,Martin Bashir comes in the picture lol  :icon_rolleyes:  :LolLolLolLol:.Please listen what he has to say about Trayvon, and tell me I'm not crazy cause  if you listen to it, he is basically talking about all the things HE did to MJ. :icon_eek:  :WTF: !!!!!

Suggestion and innuendo that some kinda of criminality took place hmmmmmmm ain't that just the shit you did to another black man.
Fuck you Bashir and your fake compassion! You ain't clean of that shit yourself. Just using the story of Trayvon to get ahead yet again  :icon_mad:...

Your post made sense to me. Mrs. Katherine Jackson's statements about the Moonwalk in the deposition and also her words in the Piers Morgan interview of May 2012 gave me the impression that Michael actually didn't want to perform anymore, and certainly not on the terms "they" (AEG) wanted him to, like he was forced, they didn't care about Michael, all they care about was money. When I connect your thoughts with Taj Jackson's words about Michael's study and strong interest in movie directing, 3D technology and Dieter Wiesner's words, during a Piers Morgan Show (16:40: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login )about Michael's plans on Marvel plans and the movie business, which is Michael's second part of his career, according to Mr. Wiesner, I can certainly agree with you that there is so much more in him to share.

Michael Jackson wrongful death trial: Accountant under fire by defense
Wednesday, July 17, 2013

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A former accountant for Michael Jackson was under fire by the AEG defense Wednesday during the Jackson family's wrongful death trial. He said that Jackson could have earned more than a billion dollars by touring until he was 66.

How long did Michael Jackson plan to work? Paris Jackson yawns, and then offers two opinions in a video deposition shown to the jury by the defense.

"He still had a lot of music that he was still working on but he kind of needed to relax," she said.

"So did your dad ever tell you he wasn't going to tour anymore after the 02?" Paris was asked.

"Yeah," she replied.

But later she was asked, "How did you understand it was a world tour?"

"Because he told us," she replied.

"What did he tell you?"

"That we were going around the world on tour," she said.

A worldwide tour or retirement? The star's potential earnings were debated in court. Katherine Jackson says she and her three grandchildren are entitled to damages if the jury finds AEG tour promoters liable for the actions of Conrad Murray, the doctor who caused Jackson's death.

AEG's defense asserts that the $1.5 billion figure projected by certified public accountant Arthur Erk is inflated. Erk testified that Jackson would likely work beyond his contract deal for 50 shows at London's O2 Arena and instead perform 260 shows, taking the show around the globe and selling out at every venue. But that's not all.

Defense attorney Sabrina Strong showed Erk's calculations for tours beyond that. That at age 56, Jackson would embark on four more world tours - a total of 455 shows - Jackson performing until he was 66 years old.

Strong questioned Erk: "Are you aware of any other artist doing five tours between age 50 and 66?"

"I did not consider that," Erk replied.

Strong also questioned Erk's numbers for what Jackson could make on endorsements for "This is It": $317 million. Erk testified that the estimate was based on the sellout of 50 concerts within hours.

AEG's defense team says that sponsors were wary of Jackson, who had been accused of criminal conduct and that as the show prepared to launch, the promoters did not have a single dollar in sponsorship or endorsements.

Jackson attorney Brian Panish reminded the jury that Jackson was acquitted of all charges, and like golfer Tiger Woods, could win back multi-million-dollar endorsement contracts.

About performing at age 66, Panish elicited examples of senior citizen stars Mick Jagger, age 69, and Barbara Streisand, age 71.

Meantime, Katherine Jackson is getting ready to testify this week in the wrongful death trial.

All this talk of these world tours when MJs is in his 60's and such...I don't know.  I am reminded of things he said in interviews about growing old....
like the one with Rabbi Shmuley ...... I found a link to the transcript:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

MJ talks about the body growing old:
Michael Jackson:  I think growing old is the ugliest, the most, the ugliest thing.

It's actually one topic that bothers me a lot about MJ, because I think growing old is a natural process, and it's how God designed us.
So going against God's design for us, isn't something I'd expect to hear or read from MJ.  He certainly wouldn't call his mother ugly......
she's beautiful and wise through and through.  So going on tour, if he really felt like this?  No way would he.  However, deep down,
I don't really think he believed these things about age anyways....it's but a number.
What do I know anyways.....senility has apparently set in with me...so says my family, lol.....they are not hoaxers in the least! : (

Love ya guys.....
Blessings Always

Andrea

Why should Michael have needed to perform hundreds of concerts until he's 66? (what with that number, btw)  Hasn't he said how the music industry takes advantage of its artists, particularly black artists, by basically robbing them of what's theirs, FORCING them to tour and perform well into old age just to survive?  He saw it for what it is and called them out, it's public record so speculating how much he could've earned busting his butt into retirement is contrary to what he's said, and now what Katherine's said.

The projected endorsement earnings for TII of $317 million stuck out to me (my bday is 3-17), because the time from alarm to arrival of the ambulance on June 25th supposedly took 3:17, which TS said would be way too slow for an emergency vehicle, for the distance it went. Probably unrelated but I always notice those numbers.

July 17th / Day 50

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
We're on the morning break in Jackson vs AEG Live case. A few updates coming...

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Before testimony began, the clerk outlined the rules for the courtroom and courthouse, saying no interviews should occur outside courtroom.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos also called the attorneys into chambers and met with them before testimony resumed.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
When the judge took the bench, the attorneys addressed the time estimate of the trial. The jury inquired about it yesterday.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
AEG Live defense attorney Marvin Putnam said he’s going to try to wrap up his case by the end of August, assuming plaintiff’s rest this week

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Putnam said he’s weighing how much of a defense he needs to put up, and Palazuelos told him he needed to take as long as he needs.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
For the first half of September, there are only four days court is in session. Plaintiff’s lawyer Brian Panish noted that if the defense ...

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
... estimate is off by a few days, then that would put the end of their case in mid-September.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Palazuelos told the jury she expected the case to end in mid-September, which is later than some jurors thought they’d be here.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Palazuelos: “Even though we’re going over a little bit, I don’t think it’s unreasonable.” She told juror to convey any concerns to the court

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
AEG Live defense attorney Sabrina Strong continued her cross-examination of CPA Arthur Erk, who started testifying on Friday.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP15 h
Strong continued to challenge Erk’s projections of Michael Jackson’s earnings. She focused on estimates for endorsement deals.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
AEG Live defense attorney Sabrina Strong concluded her cross-examination of CPA Arthur Erk before the lunch break.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
A few more updates from the morning session in Jackson vs AEG Live coming up...

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Strong challenged all of Erk’s figures this morning, starting out with his endorsement projections. Erk stated his figures were conservative

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk projected that Jackson would get a $50 million clothing endorsement deal. Strong tried to get Erk to say that was pure speculation.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk said it was his expectation that Jackson would get an endorsement deal based on his popularity in the 1980s, “This Is It” ticket sales.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Strong also challenged Erk’s projection that Jackson would have gotten another endorsement deal worth $267 million.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk based that figure on a calculation based off the reported $50 million value of a Beyonce/Pepsi endorsement deal.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Beyonce’s reported deal _ Erk doesn’t know if the figures are right _ was the equivalent of 42% of her tour revenues.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
The accountant adjusted his figures for Jackson up based on his assumption that the singer would do a 260 show worldwide tour.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk assumed that Jackson would get a “Pepsi-like” endorsement deal with several companies, but he’s not aware of any deals pending in 2009.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Strong also pointed out that Erk’s numbers were gross figures, meaning that he calculated Jackson would receive the full $267 million.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Using gross figures wouldn't account for any sharing of the deal’s profits with AEG Live or some other entity.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
In discussing the Beyonce deal, Strong brought up the child molestation trial and Beyonce’s squeaky clean image.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
The lawyer asked Erk whether he knew of any artist who got a sponsorship deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars who’d (cont) ...

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
... been involved in a high-profile criminal trial. Erk said that he did not know of any artist who’d received such a big deal after a trial

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Strong also asked whether Erk’s merchandise estimates were overly-optimistic due to possible over-inflation of his ticket sales projections.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk said he didn’t think he over-estimated the number of tickets that would be sold on a “This Is It” world tour.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
The accountant estimated that concert-goers would spend an average of $19 on MJ-merchandise at each concert.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
After a break, Strong asked Erk about his reliance on an AEG Live budget for his projections. He used a budget prepared on June 24, 2009.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
The AEG budget estimated Jackson would receive between $22 million and $30.7 million from the London “This Is It” shows.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
It appeared AEG estimated Jackson would also receive another $8 million in merchandise sales (The #s were small on the screen.)

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk estimated Jackson would earn $452 million for worldwide concerts, another $121 million in merch and $317m for endorsements.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
The accountant said AEG prepared figures in 2008 showing that Jackson could earn $132 million for a worldwide tour.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
He said that was in a proposal to Colony Capital and was based on a tour of 186 concerts. This was before “TII” contract was signed.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
Erk said his projections were much higher than these figures because the success of “This Is It” ticket sales showed the demand for MJ shows

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
I've got to get back to court. There were a few more questions that Strong asked and she played a clip of Paris Jackson's deposition.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP13 h
I'l address those later. Plaintiff's attorney Brian Panish will resume questioning after the lunch break.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
We're done for the day in Jackson vs. AEG Live. Testimony will resume tomorrow at 10 a.m. PDT.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
I've got a story coming shortly on today's testimony. Will get a few updates out soon after that.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
Tomorrow's witnesses are expected to be videotaped testimony by Dr. Emery Brown in the morning, economist Peter Formuzis in the afternoon.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
I won't be covering the trial tomorrow _ will be working Emmy nominations bright and early tomorrow. AP's Linda Deutsch will be covering.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
During arguments on Dr. Brown's testimony, the judge asked AEG's attorneys whether they intend to call Conrad Murray.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP9h
"I have no intention of calling him," AEG Live defense attorney Marvin S. Putnam said when asked about calling Conrad Murray as a witness.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP8h
File shows promoter planned out worldwide tour for Michael Jackson in '08: Promoter plotted out worldwide tour for Jackson Estimate on earnings lower than expert's.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP8h
Story link I just posted comprises some of plaintiff's questioning of CPA Arthur Erk in Jackson vs AEG Live case.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP8h
The plans were used by both sides in court. AEG used them to show their projections were lower than the experts.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP8h
Jackson attorney Brian Panish used the tour plans to show AEG had plans for worldwide tour, similarities with their expert's opinions.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP8h
Folks, gotta sign off for a few hours (maybe the night.) Will be back on the Jackson case on Friday (if not sooner...)

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
Going to share a couple details from the judge's session this morning with attorneys Brian Panish and Marvin Putnam, per court transcript.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
Judge Yvette Palazuelos met with Panish and Putnam to address them yelling at each other in the courthouse hallway on Tuesday afternoon.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
According to the transcript, Palazuelos threatened the attorneys with sanctions, but didn't impose any.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
The judge did most of the talking, and Panish and Putnam apologized for shouting at each other.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
Palazuelos told both attorneys that she expected more of them, and stiff penalties could result if they had another outburst like Tuesday's.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
The judge warned Panish and Putnam that they could be sent to the court's presiding judge if there were issues outside her courtroom.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
Palazuelos made clear that she would handle decorum in her courtroom. She told the lawyers no more interviews outside her doors.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
From now on, Palazuelos said all interviews had to occur at the end of a hallway, or outside the courthouse.

Anthony McCartney ‏@mccartneyAP4h
The attorneys adhered to the new rules on interviews today. For now, sounds like no further action will happen unless there's another issue.
