I feel like a goose but I can't find clear instructions in HELP or by using search. Could someone please spell out the steps involved in imbedding a youtube. When I surround the code (I've tried both codes that come up plus the url) with the youtube tags the result is still the link to the video, not the video itself.

Souza had something along these lines: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=257703937579381 but you had to take out the "video" part to make it look like this: http://www.facebook.com/v/257703937579381 then surround with tags.

Trouble is none of the url's or codes I get look anything like this when I click copy/paste or embed on the utube.

They look like this: http://youtu.be/DPe_C5F_Ng

Or this: <iframewidth="560"height="315"src="http:www.youtube.com/embed/DPe_C5F-_Ng"frameborder="0"allowfullscreenX/iframe>

So what do I do here?

You have to use the complete link as it shows in your browser, not the youtu.be link.

I disabled Facebook videos by the way.

OK so let me give it a try. Here is a good spot if it doesn't work.

Right click has been disabled, so no copy/paste function or is this just a momentary glitch? tho not degrading the new sysytem at all, I like it, it loads faster and I'm sure I have hardly the slightest idea of what is involved in keeping this place going. You do a superb job.

So these links are straight from the address bar of my browser (but not copy/pasted cause it doesn't work, so hand typed) The last try was just the link surrounded by the youtube function on the board.
The other two were my own configurations from ones that I have used to complete the same task elsewhere.

Going to have one more try then give up until someone explains what I'm doing wrong, or at least until copy/paste works!
