Conrad Murray trial inspires Twitter parodies




It started with @TheConradMurray, a parody account of the Houston doctor charged with manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

Almost daily, his Twitter feed crackles with off-color jokes about the trial, key witnesses and La Toya Jackson:

– “Where’s the bald guy from my “legal team”… I think he called in sick. Late night at the strip clubs. AGAIN.”

– “I don’t even write down my grocery list, why would I write down medical records?”

– “That awkward moment when I check to see what tie I’m wearing after he identified me by my clothing.”

– “We all went to Karaoke last night. I’m still thinking about Blanket’s version of Firework by Katy Perry. So good!”

– “So @latoyajackson took my phone last night and blew up all my ex-girlfriends. I’m not happy.”

Tasteless? Maybe. Funny? Often.

And it’s inspired a host of other parody accounts, including:

@NicoleAlvarez_: Nicole Alvarez, Murray’s girlfriend, mother of his son and keeper of the “instrument.”

@JudgePastor: Judge Michael Pastor.

                Bubbles, seen leaving court, made no comment on the trial.               <ins><ins></ins></ins>                                                Prosecutors in the trial of Dr Conrad Murray, the doctor accused of the negligent homicide of music legend Michael Jackson, have today called upon their star witness in an unprecedented move.

It was revealed today that Michael Jackson will called to the stand to give details of Dr Murray's actions at the time of his death and to answer speculation about the cocktail of drugs he was believed to have taken.

This is a counter-move to Dr Murray's defence attorney's expert cross-examination yesterday of Mr Jackson's closest friend, Bubbles, that resulted in the witness being unable to give exact details about the time of death. Bubbles was later charged with contempt of court and fined $500 for blowing raspberries and for throwing handfuls of excrement at the clerk of the court.

Restoring order, the judge was quick to remind the jury that: "enough crap has been slung around this court already in this trial." He then asked why he didn't stick to parking offences, had the court cleaned and went home.
