Rubbing eyes can indicate disbelief.
When a person is uncomfortable, the eyes may water so they might rub their eyes.
@paula-c, I did find that rubbing the eyes could mean that the person has a sleeping problem.
Maybe Ed needs propofol to sleep! I will make a dose  /cook/ .

Ed is a good actor...he knows how to look and act dramatic, may be to give us the impression that the defense lost a little confidence, fine piece of drama

Originally, the "Pink Panther" is a diamond which is intended to be stolen by "The Phantom".

Doc Murray should not get new ties but these sandy suits off.
This colour makes him look weak - if this association is intended (which I assume), the choice is perfect.

Inspector Clouseau returns on the screen after 11 years of absence. 2012 is 11 years ago that Michael's last album Invincible was released. I think the Pink Panther has a significant role here.

I have my friend who is a lawyer at my house right now as we speak. We are having a nice cup of coffee and a laugh at the justice system. She said in all her 15 yrs of career being a lawyer, she has never seen a pink stuffed animal in a court room. Now she also stated that the court room they are doing the trial is not a real court room. Mind you we are from Canada so court rooms can be different. In the love of God, why would there be stuffed animal in a court room?? That is the million dollar question.  lolol/

The dramatic expressions - acting.  It IS a story, the greatest story ever told.  Everything is right in front of our eyes.

Side note of Murray's ties/bow tie:  TMZ is intent on bringing attention to Murray's choice of neckwear. 

Yes!  I've been watching the trial all this past week and the expressions on everyone from Murray's patient taking the stand to the emergency room Dr. as well as her "costume".  It was all odd to me.  It was almost too perfect....kinda like a mystery movie being played out.  Out wait.......  )
