Katherine Attends Celebration

Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, was among those gathered yesterday at the Jackson family home in Gary, IN to celebrate Michael's birthday.

He would have been 53 today.

Because of Katherine's religion she doesn't celebrate birthdays on their original date. I know that for Katherine and Joe they do "Katherine Day" or "Joe Day" around their birthdays. I think I read a couple of years ago that she was allowing the kids to celebrate Christmas because they celebrated that with Michael and it is one of their favorite holidays.

Ms. Katherine, his mother, is such a strong and special woman and who would say she's 81? She looks of about 60 to me. Her presence is so strong, even if only through a photo
