Reincarnating Michael Jackson (Theatre Production)

With brightly lit interiors, shimmery curtains and tall candles at Pasha, The Park, the preview to I Wanna Be MJ opened to an excited and eager audience. The cast performed to Michael Jackson hits such as Smooth Criminal, Bad and Can’t Stop Loving You, along with some scenes from the play, as a part of the curtain raiser.
I Wanna Be MJ is a musical produced by Nicholas Productions, in association with Sahaayika, an NGO. It is an original production inspired by the music of the king of pop. The cast will perform songs of MJ on-stage, with live singing, vibrant choreography and incredible theatrics. The cast and crew behind the play are working hard to ensure that it be an out -of-the-world experience for Chennai’s theatre lovers and crowd-puller for sure.
The production is written, co-choreographed and directed by Denver Anthony Nicholas, with music direction by Shaun Roberts, Nadisha Thomas as the vocal conductor, and is choreography by Raj. The live orchestra will feature famed musicians including Naveen Thomas Joseph, Gerard Joseph, Enoch David & Nelson Samuel. Proceeds from the show will be donated to Sahaayika for treating cancer patients.
