SANTA MARIA - The gates swing open at the Santa Maria Fairpark on Wednesday, for the first day of The County Fair.
As of Monday, The Fairpark was pretty much ready.

And, the Mid-way was almost completely constructed.
This year, the carnival features more rides than ever, some of which, are famous.

So, we've had Michael Jackson rides for a long time, but we couldn't say anything. After things changed, now we can say, this ride came from Neverland,[/highlight:3f4os4n4]" explains Corey Oakley, General Manager for Helm &sons Amusements.
There are more than 50 rides and attractions this year, three of which came from Neverland Ranch. For example, the pink Wave Swinger,
"If you've ever seen an aerial picture of Neverland Ranch, you've seen this ride. This is the iconic piece from Neverland Ranch," says Oakley.
From the rides to the animals, and everything in between, the fair should have something for everyone.
"We have over 1600 entries with home arts, ornamental horticulture and livestock, so we have a lot of things for people to come and see and enjoy. A lot of projects the kids have done," says Yvonne Biely, Events Promoter.
The concert schedule includes country acts like Tracy Lawrence and the show stopping Boyz II Men.
Opening day, Wednesday, is Dollar Day. Admission, and all the rides, are just $1.
