Michael Jackson Estate Settles Vegas Claim

The Michael Jackson Estate has settled a claim filed by Michael Jackson's former Las Vegas landlord.

Aner Iglesias filed a creditor's claim with the Estate and later filed a lawsuit, alleging MJ damaged the home he rented to the singer in 2008-2009 to the tune of $234,000.

Iglesias alleged MJ damaged the exterior and interior of the home, and screwed up the phone and alarm system.

The case settled for an undisclosed amount of money.

  • Playing it safe is the riskiest choice.
I try to imagine what Michael could do in that house to damage it so bad  :?
Even if you want to, it is a little difficult to do so much damage.

I see they mention the phones and the alarm system :?

If this story is even true, I doubt Michael did that damage.  I saw that house last year (just from the outside) and it didn't look damaged, just worn down like it was in need of renovations.  So maybe this guy is just wanting Michael to foot the bill for the upgrades to the house.  :?   If this story is true, I wonder how much the claim was settled for and WHY.

sounds like they maybe went into an agreement where in the beginnig no one brought up the maintnace aspect and each decided in their own mind that the other should be responsible . sometimes i wonder if he had any legal counsel that was actually looking out for him on a personl level. know what i mean  :?

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

How can you break the phone systems? Unless you put a fork in the jack plug of the phone?  This Iglesias person needs to renovate his house to rent it again, does not have the cash and wants Michael estate to fix it, simple as that. Unless Michaels monkey came back and destroyed the place..

MJ's Las Vegas Rental Home Vandalized
6/28/2010 2:05 PM PDT by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned cops have just responded to the Las Vegas home Michael Jackson rented from 2007 -2009 after someone called in claiming the place had been vandalized.

Law enforcement sources tell us when cops arrived to the home, they found several walls inside the home had been spray painted with "illegible" graffiti.

We're told no one has lived in the home for more than a year -- and cops have no idea when the vandals may have struck.

In a related note -- we're told several people visited the home recently to commemorate the one-year anniversary of MJ's death ... and it's likely one of the fans may have noticed the graffiti.

So far, cops have no suspects -- and no arrests have been made.

"Let me bathe in my own time when I come back in. I\'m gonna button my shirt or my jacket or whatever it is. I\'m gonna look around a little bit, play with them. Snap my fingers maybe, then BAM!"

So, then the house was vandilized while it was vacant.  I don't think Estate that stupid to settle case on something that does not relate to Michael. Or may they are................
