Have you guys noticed the five corners star tattoo on Paris' wrist ?

The five pointed star is a pagan symbol. It represents the hands, arms, and head of a person. Like many pagan symbols, it was adopted into Christianity. Many medieval paintings show important saints with halos containing stars. Like many Christian symbols, it was reversed by those who claimed allegiance to Satan, and the inverted star (with one point facing down) is still used as a symbol in Satanism.

There are other stars. The Star of David has six points. Islam favors an eight-sided star, as does Buddhism. These are relatively hard to draw. You'd think a star of two triangles would be easy, but it's not.

Over time, the five-pointed star's association with Christianity was lessened in favor of the cross, but it was still considered a symbol of luck, and so was incorporated into many other symbols, such as flags.

The five-pointed star is the star of Bethlehem. Shaped roughly like a human being, it represents Jesus' incarnation.
The Christian five-pointed star should be distinguished from the pagan pentagram, which is formed of five lines which intersect. Most often shown upside down, the pentagram is associated with satanic ritual.

Michael specialises in commercial and civil litigation and arbitration, particularly cases involving international elements. These cases range from shipping, carriage and sale of goods and commodities, international tort claims and injuries on land, sea and in the air, sports law, civil fraud, company and shareholder disputes, to insolvency, insurance and banking. In the British Virgin Islands, Michael has acted and advised in a number of cases governed by BVI Company and Insolvency Law, where his knowledge of comparative international company law has proved particularly beneficial for clients. Examples of BVI court hearings include the proper valuation of minority shareholdings under Part IX of the BVI Business Companies Act 2004 (HRH Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud v PIA Investments Ltd (2011)); the proper role of the court in relation to a share valuation under a compromise agreement: Lonrho Africa (Holdings) Limited v Norse Air (2010); the operation of Part V of the BVI Insolvency Act 2003 in relation to the discretionary powers to set aside statutory demands served on corporations share valuations disputes: Prontinal Limited v Elixir Petroleum (UK) Limited (2008); unfair prejudice proceedings and winding up applications: Lonrho Africa (Holdings) Limited v Norse Air (2008).
