I looked around on the Super Bowl topics, but haven't found this video, the interview is after the Black Eyed Peas' performance, i thought you might also find it interesting...

Michelle - thank you for sharing this with us. I saw it also and was very intrigued. Intrigued because since June 25, 2009 it's become vogue to be associated with MJ again (which I think is awesome). And I loved that his genuine respect and admiration for MJ shone through his interview. He was so happy speaking about MJ.

I also appreciated his compassion towards Christina's flub of words. The media is the one that really made a big deal out of her misquote. I'm sure she was embarrassed enough without having the media blow it out of proportion. Anyway, I loved how he brought it back to reality and even pointed out that MJ made words up -

It's awesome to see how much MJ has influenced these artists - and for the better, not the worse. I mean, look at them pushing the message of love. It's all for L.O.V.E. Blessings :)

I'm proud to be a child of God and a member of MJ's Army of L.O.V.E.

I thought it was fascinating that Will.i.am turned this interview aimed at his personal feelings on the Super Bowl into a Michael Jackson retrospective! (The woman interviewing him is probably wondering how her interview got so off the track!) Within the first 30 seconds of the interview he turned it into all Michael Jackson!  Then Billy Bush shows up and the MJ talk just continues.  Even when Billy Bush tries to change the subject, Will continues to bring up Michael Jackson.  It's great to see Michael's continued influence on people and their lives.

Thanks so much Michelle for posting the link to this video!

Akon on MJ, May 2009]The way he thinks....some artists think regional, some think national, I was thinking international. He thinks planets. It\'s on another level...

You are so right voiceforthesilent, lots of artists wants to take over Michael's place since june 2009, but to me Will.I.Am doesn't belong to these people, he had a huge chance to learn from Michael, but he totally not pushes him to be like the King of Pop....Obviously the Black Eyed Peas half time performance refered to Michael on many ways, it's easily possible he was indeed involved. And i respect Will for not pushing himself like others do recently, like Usher....I think he is absolutely amazing, but as many of you guys said it before, stop trying to be somebody else. It's never gonna happen, no way.....there is and will be only one Michael Jackson!!!

Will.i.am Goes Apple Picking With Michael Jackson
May 4th, 2009 1:33pm EDT

When Michael Jackson invites you to work on music with him, you go to wherever he's recording. Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas went to Ireland for Jackson. When he got hungry, Jackson took him to the drive through.

"I'm like, 'I'm hungry,'" Will recalled. "He says, 'Why don't you take the horse? Take the horse and pick apples. It's wonderful. We love doing it. The horses love going apple picking.' I'm like, 'All right, I'll f*cking go.' I swear to God. I'm on a f*cking horse. Michael Jackson's like, 'Wow, it's great.' The horse is picking apples. I'm like picking apples and junk, putting them in a bag. I'm like wow, this is like picking apples with Michael Jackson on horseback. Look at that sh*t, right?"

With all those excursions going on, did they get any recording done? "I don't know what he's going to use from what we've done, but I have memories. The stuff I did on Thriller 25 is up. If he uses any of the original things that we've done, great. If he didn't, I have my memories and the things that we've done is awesome. I learned so much from the dude. He's cool."

For those who got those highly sought after tickets for Jackson's 50 shows, Will vouches for the fellow musician's chops. Michael's still got it. "He was in my house. It's one thing you hear rumors, but when the guy's in your house, laying on your floor as you're playing beats, he's like, 'Will.i.am, I love this beat.' He's laying and his feet are up on the chair, he's kicking his feet. I'm like dude, Michael Jackson's laying on my floor. He's testing his voice and three hours has passed. He's just mi mi mi mi mi mi mi mi mi, mi mi mi mi mi mi mi mi mi. He's doing both voice testing just to sing for five minutes. He's testing his voice for three hours to sing for five minutes. I don't know. Fergie don't do that sh*t. Usher don't do that sh*t. None of the people that you think still got it do that. I've seen it, in my house. That's because he's a perfectionist and he just likes testing his voice. I'm like, 'Dude, can we record now? Because it's three hours, and it's only going take five minutes.' 'No, I just want to warm it up.' Like dude, that's hot. It's warmed up. And he has it. I've seen it. He mi mi mi'd for three hours. Perfect pitch."

Will I Am always keep MJ's message going it seems.  Jermaine was even giving Will I am praise on his Twitter if I remember correctly.  It's like does he know something or what?

What a pleasant surprise this was. You're right...he just turned the whole thing into a Michael Jackson conversation. I had to ask myself why. Why the interest in keeping his name out there. I'm happy about it but surprised. Not maybe surprised at the mention of MJ but even then he didn't have to say anything and it didn't just seem like a tribute the way he kept going on. To me it seemed like a personal message to MJ. People seem to be speaking to him however they can through the media ie) kids and parents and LMP on Oprah, Teddy on twitter, Justin Bieber at an awards show, Janet in various ways, Usher whenever he can, and it just goes on. Thanks Will I AM!

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."
