Hi, I don't know if you already discussed this.
I was listening again to the song "Wanna be startin' somethin' " included in the album "This is it" and at min. 4.30-4.31 I heard a sound of an alarm clock. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't heard it in the same song included in  the album "Thriller", so I think it's a clue, maybe it means "Awake!" or maybe it means "MJ can sleep very well, infact he need an alarm clock to awake himself, therefore he doesn't need sleeping pill".

I like to have your opinion.

That was the demo version of the song, not the original version.

Yes, that is a Demo version.

I heard that alarm very well, I don't know, maybe it's a coincidence or maybe MJ chose that version for a reason.

Thank you all, bye.

Oh on the demo! Yes I hear it there. Could be anything. They used all kinds of stuff as instruments on the demos, that's why they are so fun to listen to. And maybe it went off by accident. I don't think there is another meaning behind it.

LOL...
This just made me think about when he was recording Dangerous [I think]
and part of a partition fell...and they stopped to see if he was okay.
He was but he wanted to leave it in the song for the sound effects.
