Neverland Ranch -- A Teen Haven for Music

Neverland Ranch -- A Teen Haven for Music

The owners of the Neverland Ranch -- the former home of Michael Jackson -- want to turn the property into a teenage music haven.

TMZ has learned Colony Capital wants to develop a business plan to turn Neverland into a music institute -- similar to The Juilliard  School in NYC.  The plan is to teach teens all aspects of music, including writing and performing.

Colony wants to turn the property into a campus, in which scores of teenagers -- rich and poor -- can learn the trade that made Michael Jackson a legend.

There are two big stumbling blocks.  The first is making sure Santa Barbara County will sign off on such a project.

The second -- and bigger issue -- is whether Colony Capital can use Michael Jackson's name to promote such an institute.  TMZ has good news for Colony .... sources directly connected with the Michael Jackson Estate tell us, "It's an interesting idea and we'd be open to it."

I don't understand the "the owners of Neverland" statement. Isn't Neverland STILL owned by Michael? What they say sounds like Neverland is not owned anymore by Michael. Another TMZ shit? Or?

I don't really think this is what Michael would want... I don't know but I also believe it should be something for children or that child star museum that he wanted to create. It should be something that the public and especially disadvantaged children should be able to visit and have fun at. Yup, that's my opinion.

I don't know about what Michael would wish, but apart from kids he also mentored many artists, so this would also be part of what he accomplished.
I prefer to see it becoming something ALIVE and usefull then turned into some kind of museum that will maybe end covered with dust...

Museum are for dead things from the past...

Well, he did say he would never live there again....

And the two most important thing to him, besides his kids, are:

1.  Children
2.  Music

So I think this is a fantastic idea, combining the two most important together, and that is what Neverland is all about.  For children.
Maybe this will generate alot of money for the estate...and his childrens future.  Love xoo

but people think he doesnt own neverland. they think he sold it, when he didnt, he owns it.
There has been rumors it would be like an amusement park or something, but I cantell u this
this colony capital would not sink( if michael didnt own it) money into neverland without geting
permission first  from the county/town and the estate to do this "teenage" project.

I dont know, something tells me this article is made up

It's just strange how they have kept this project under wraps all this time.  This is the first news we have had about Neverland since the article that said the kids visited there a couple of months ago.  Since about September of 2009 the only other thing I remember hearing was when Oranthi performed there, even then we were hardly given any information at all.  Something is really weird about all of this.  It is just not "sitting right" with me.

If this story is true, then it's a good idea.  Teenagers start losing their childhood innocence and want to be grown-up sooner than they should be.  This could be a great way to positively influence and encourage young minds, give them a chance they might not have had otherwise.

I also think it's possible over the next few months that we could hear different stories about what is going to happen to Neverland - they want to use it for this or that...then when Michael comes back, he'll say what it'll really be used for which will be the best idea of all.

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

That was about her encouraging Michael to study  art at a tertiary level I think.

MJ estate or MJ still owns half of neverland.. I think MJ held a party there to celebrate the success of his album release... The bus reminds me of the party bus that was in the convoy of cars during the family trip to the staple center on july 7th........

I think the time on the clock is significant too.  We need to look into that a little more. A date maybe?  10/20, but what year?  The coralation with 10 - 4 , good buddy is a good one and maybe what it signifies.  I am just wondering if there is more.
