Akon: Will.i.am Is WRONG About MJ Album

I would respect Akon's opinion over Will I am anyday concerning MJ.  I believe Will I am and MJ were just associates and worked together but MJ and Akon were real friends.  I don't think Akon would speak up like that for the album being released unless he really felt it was in MJ'sbest interest.  Akon seem to be a very loyal friend so I think he knows what he's talking about.  Interesting the article points out that MJ would want the album to be released dead or alive.

Why does there always have to be disagreement about this album?  :roll: Ever since Sony announced the record deal there has been nothing but opposition every step of the way.

There's disagreement about which songs to use, the timing of the release of the songs, dispute over the album art, family members versus non family members etc...It is starting to look very staged (IMO) for publicity. Like believers versus non believers or supporters versus non supporters.

I don't know anything about Akon or Will.i.am (not my generation of music)...so I don't understand what they hope to accomplish with this "public disagreement".

I think a lot of public disagreements are simply a result of the media.  In the case with Akon, of course he approves of the album or he wouldn't have helped finish Hold My Hand.  So the media figures they can start a battle of words between Will.i.am and Akon since Will.i.am stated that he doesn't approve of the album.  Why did the media/paparazzi even have to bring up Will.i.am to Akon when they chased him down in the airport?  It's all about the ratings!  Look at Michael and Prince.  For years, people have believed that there was serious animosity between them, but on the contrary, it doesn't seem like either guy really had issues with the other one afterall.
