I wonder why we all asume this charachter Jason Malachi is real at all. Did we ever think about the possibility that this guy was totally made up for this hoax, so that people would easily believe it when the media says this song is not MJ, but Jason Malachi? Media controls people's thoughts, this proves it.

Yes.

I believe he is a person (JM) but his voice is to question  ;)

Hi Gema. :) I saw JM's videos dancing and singing, so definitely he is a real person. But of course I don't know if Michael was behind the stage and singing the song for him.

Who sang the song let me let go, at first I thought it was Michael?

Officially it's Jason Malachi's song.
But I admit that until the day before yesterday I beleived it was Michael's song... (I didn't know too much about Malachi until now, just heard of him).
I was shocked when (because of this "whether Breaking News was sang by Malachi" thing) I went to Malachi's myspace page and found Let Me Go there as his song. I still feel it's Michael who sings in it. That's why I said above that probably Malachi is in the hoax. I think it's very possible what Gema said, that his voice is changed by equalizators/voice modulators during he sings live.
And as I also wrote above, the line
"Now I seem to be every where lately
Too much to be coincidentally"

sounds very actual today for this confusion about the Cascio songs.
Maybe Michael new we would listen this song again now, and wrote this line to tell us that he is really, not coincidentally, everywhere now, even in Jason Malachi's song  :)
Maybe it's too far fetched, I don't used to think like this, but who knows...

thanks  ;)  thats a very good point though

Well, of course, he is a real person   we just don't know wether the information we have about him is real or fabricated.

EDIT: PS: God, I just realise how I question almost everything that is given to us via media

I also put this in the TIAI 10/30 thread but it probably belongs here.

In the official version of Breaking News, I hear-
1:34  fakin' fakin' breakin' the news.

I've realized that the 10/30 TIAI redirect about the Orson Welles broadcast of War of the Worlds (The Greatest Hoaxes ever), was timed perfectly prior to Breaking News.  The War of the Worlds broadcast was done as a series of news bulletins about Martians landing in New Jersey.  Breaking News starts with news bulletins and was supposedly recorded in New Jersey.  The War of the Worlds broadcast made Orson Welles famous around the world and the question over the authenticity of Breaking News has people listening to and comparing Micheal Jackson's voice which promotes all his music not just this new album.

There is also controversy over the unauthorised use of the Prince symbol, just as there was when Paul Anka claimed ownership of the This is It song.  Ooops – it's hard to believe Sony could be so careless. Key people at Sony must be involved in the hoax and TS had to know what was going to happen with Breaking News when the 10/30 redirect was made – right?

He really says "fakin' fakin' breaking the news". That's what I hear too.

Omg your right!

TS predicted the situation with Breaking News because people would listen to it online and "think it was real"!

Are you entertained?

Also I would like to know what kind of music is between 0:45 and 0:50....sounds classical music but I don't know.....

It reminds me of the V for Vendetta soundtrack "Evey Reborn, just a little sped up (at around 2:12)

I just felt it has to be something about that classical music, I just knew it, because Michael is a Musician and he loved classical music. Look what I found:

It is the same theme like in The flight of the BumbleBee of Rimsky-Korsakov.

Listen to Korsakov's theme  and compare it to BN from 0:45 to 0:50:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVbuIZ-5-8o

The same in BN, only a little processed to match a pop track.

Now this what wikipedia about the original:

"Flight of the Bumblebee" is an orchestral interlude written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, composed in 1899–1900. The piece closes Act III, Tableau 1, during which the magic Swan-Bird changes Prince Gvidon Saltanovich (the Tsar's son) into an insect so that he can fly away to visit his father (who does not know that he is alive). Although in the opera the Swan-Bird sings during the first part of the "Flight", her vocal line is melodically uninvolved and easily omitted;"

So he flies away to visit his father who doesn't know he is alive - maybe Michael is on his way back already....
And
"Although in the opera the Swan-Bird sings during the first part of the "Flight", her vocal line is melodically uninvolved and easily omitted;"   - just like Michael's vocals in Breaking News

Sorry, I must go take some fresh air now ...I  can't believe this !!

It sounds like a mix of Michael's voice spliced with someone else. But the voice isn't what I have the problem with....it's the music---the lyrics and the beat...it's too...how should I say this delicately...amateur? :?

Michael's musical compositions have always been intricate...this sounds like a song/beat you'd hear on a karaoke machine (JMO, sorry!)...and I think that's what's really making people question if it's his voice or not, it just doesn't sound like something he'd put together (And I pray-pray-pray they don't have a whole album of nothing but stuff like this   ). I just don't see Michael singing a "bubble gum" type song...he set the standard for his music, why wouldn't he live up to his own standard?

(My apologies Michael if you really wrote this, but I have to be honest---you've done much better  :( )

....I don't know if I can listen to the rest of this album if it's going to be like this ---I would love to hear Michael's voice singing again, but not like this...this is cr@p!....now I understand the family's issue with it :|

There are two pics of Jason both look nothing like the other so which is the real person, if he is real at all - we have only seen a video of someone proclaiming to be him.

At this point and time if Michael spit chewing gum into a fan for 5 minutes straight and made a little ping sound, if it would prove he's alive I'd take it with a smile on my face. I'm loving this "Breaking News" Controversy!!!! :D

"Breaking News" Already a #1 Single
After two days of radio airplay, Michael Jackson's "Breaking News" scores a No. 1 Billboard ranking.

The controversial preview track from "Michael," due Dec. 14, debuts atop the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs' Bubbling Under chart, which showcases the top 25 titles that have yet to reach the 100-position R&B/Hip-Hop Songs survey.

"Breaking News" logged 1.1 million impressions on 52 R&B/hip-hop stations after just two days of airplay, according to Nielsen BDS. Among all stations monitored by BDS, "Breaking News" registered 302 plays on 177 stations, amounting to an audience of 2.6 million, since its arrival Monday (Nov. 8).

Despite its rising chart status, "Breaking News" logged 94% of its two-day audience among R&B/Hip-Hop Songs panelists in its first day of availability. Fifty R&B/hip-hop stations played the song Monday, but just four programmed it Tuesday.
