Prince has gotten proprietary again, according to reports from TMZ and DrFunkenberry.com.
He doesn't let his fans post images of him or even Prince-inspired tattoos or license plates (remember the lawsuit?) and he ain't making no exceptions for the King of Pop.
The posthumous Michael Jackson album, scheduled for release November 16, features a painting by Kadir Nelson that is a collage of MJ images and related symbols. Kadir has said that the 2009 work "takes us on a journey through some key moments and important people in Michael Jackson’s life."
Dr. Funkenberry discovered that there was a teeny Prince symbol floating in an orb and decided, last week, to ask the Purple One's People if the star was somehow involved with the album. The result? The symbol has been removed.
The Dr. posted the following update: "The official response from Prince’s camp: 'No permission was granted. Sony Entertainment has removed the symbol.'"
