ive personally always loved the dangerous era. the long hair, the in-your-face i'm not going to take your shit attitude.

BUT...

this is good michael. this. is. good.

i also think this is recent. i cant think of another time when he had short hair and looked like this

Michael did have short hair in the 1990s - "You Are Not Alone" video, for instance, or "Childhood".  I looked at some of the other photos in the Arno Bani collection (said to be taken in 1999) and I think it's possible... It's MJ with somewhat shorter hair than in the YANA video.  And it's easy to vary between straight and curly hair.

yes i know he had shorter hair during some of the time of the "dangerous" period, however i think this photo doesn't resemble michael of that time. i know the picture is small, probably photoshopped in some way and the face isn't up close and visible, but i get the sense that he's older in it.

I agree.  In this photo he looks a little older.  Actually, he looks like, as some would call, the "o2 guy" (I believe o2 Michael was the real deal, though).  That been said, I think three events could be occurring here:

1.  That is a recent picture of Michael Jackson (2009-2010).

2.  People cant stop  profiting from the money-making machine, and that is a photo-shopped pic of MJ.

3.  That is a picture of a double, and he certainly does look like o2 Michael.

I'll go with choice #1.

To anybody it could mean many different things, so it's open to interpretation. from my personal perspective, I wholeheartedly believe that this is a photo shopped pic. it just looks so unnatural and michael has a plastic element about him that just seems out of the ordinary, but It could be deliberately set up that way, perhaps by the jackson family. maybe they made this photo shop pic, if it truly is it, to mislead the audience. Theres a thought!

I looked at my Dec 2007 Ebony issue and he looks the same there, very smooth. If you know anything about photoshopping digitally you know how much can be done.

Oh, i'm sorry! in NO way was I aiming to disrespect Michael at all, and to be honest, even if it is photoshopped, he still looks as sharp as can be. He's always been very fashionable no matter what hes doing! I only mentioned "plastic" as a means to describe him for the simple fact that photoshopped pics would probably give off that effect.

He looks good, but personally I prefer curly hair. Curly hair it's more Michael Jackson, it's worship, but it's better for a black american than short hair !

Seems like in these un-seen photos recently Michael has short hair. In the Arno Bani photo's (which we know are new) he has short hair. Now in this photo he has short hair. Anyone seeing a trend here :D

That is strange.  And if they wanted to use a 'stand in' so that could do so, why would they be so tacky as to use one that has already been published.  Wouldn't there be copyright issues?
