Randy Jackson is Noprah on Oprah1. Noprah When Oprah withdraws support for your book. It can also mean when Oprah doesn't give or withdraws support for anything. Etymology: Used on E! Channel's "The Soup" on March 3, 2006 in the "Hollywords" segment. It was in reference to Oprah's withdrawal of support for James Frey's memoir "A Million Little Pieces" after it was revealed that his story was grossly exaggerated and (in parts) fictional.Getting the noprah automatically ruins your career as a writer. No one crosses Oprah. No one!You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Thanks Serenity! That's a good fit for the 5 R's as well. And very interesting about that book.. I LOVED that book. And it reminds me of the quote in V for Vendetta - "Artists use lies to tell the truth". It doesn't matter what the truth is about that book, if it's not really a memoir but fiction, what matters is THE MESSAGE! Just like this hoax.

It doesn't matter what the truth is about that book, if it's not really a memoir but fiction, what matters is THE MESSAGE! Just like this hoax.About the book, it does matter what the truth is and it was Oprah who said on LKL "that what mattered was not the truth of Frey's book, but its value as a therapeutic tool for addicts." This is a ridiculous statement in itself because it is based on a lie. Oprah later retracted her statement but the point is she didn't care what the "truth" was until people started to raise questions about this. As a person in a position of power, within the media, whom many people "follow" and who is trying to influence people's thinking and promote ideas, Oprah has an obligation to present the truth and only the truth. She has not been doing that, she has an agenda and she presents things which reinforce that whether they are the truth or not. This is deception and manipulation. The question then arises what is Oprah's agenda and why?
Winfrey told Frey that she felt "really duped" but that, "more importantly, I feel that you betrayed millions of readers." She also apologized for her previous telephoned statement to Larry King Live — during Frey's appearance on that show on January 11, 2006 — that what mattered was not the truth of Frey's book, but its value as a therapeutic tool for addicts. She said, "I left the impression that the truth is not important."
This woman Oprah, it seems that unfortunately has much influence on public opinion in America. :?
