Jermaine Commands Michael Jackson Army
10/4/2010 5:20 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

Jermaine Jackson squeezed into one of his old Jackson 5 costumes to perform a tribute to Michael in Vegas this weekend -- but the whole thing could ignite some serious family drama.

While cameras rolled, Jermaine performed a series of Michael Jackson's classics to a packed house at the concert hall at the Planet Hollywood Resort.

Here's the rub -- Jermaine is legally allowed to cover the MJ songs in concert, but if he uses the recorded footage to create and then sell a DVD, album or TV special -- he would need to go through the Michael Jackson estate to secure permission.

So far, it's unclear if Jermaine did get the green light -- but if not, the MJ estate could bring legal action against Jermaine to protect it's most valuable asset ... Michael's music.

FYI ... Michael's kids -- Prince, Paris and Blanket -- were all at the show.

Michael Jackson´s Army...
maybe he is not the bad guy (Jermaine) and the headline has a deeper meaning (of course).

"You know, I´m serious, dude!" (Akon) LOL

I was at the Jermaine Jackson show at Planet Hollywood last night. I'd give the show mixed reviews. First off, it started an hour late because many of the seats towards the front weren't filled, so some guy got on stage and asked people sitting in back to come up front to fill in because it was being filmed for pay per view TV. That created a lot of confusion and made it take even longer to get started.

I don't know if it was the acoustics, the sound system or just Jermaine – but a number of songs were seriously out of tune. He just murdered "Beat It" but on some other songs "Smile" and "Gone too Soon" Jackson's voice was great. He seemed the most comfortable singing his own songs and the Jackson 5 favorites.

Can you imagine how hard it must be for Jackson to follow in the footsteps of "The King of Pop?" Tough shoes to fill. Jermaine is 55 and needs to find his own "sound" his own niche which uses his voice – different from Michael – to it's best advantage.

I completely agree! Nobody can fill Michael's shoes. The show was a mess, completely unorganized and very amatureish. I was very dissapointed. Waiting for over an hour for any show to begin is just unacceptable. Some of the songs were well done, but others were not good at all. It would have been nice if Jermaine had at least offered the audience an apology for having to sit for over an hour while waiting for the show to begin. If you want to put on a show honoring Michael it should be something he would be proud of, I don't think he would ever be proud of the audience having to wait so long for the show to begin. Many of the people in the audience left long before the show was over. I actually felt sorry for the people in the show. The dancing was terrible, six kids on stage all doing their own thing."

I was thinking the same thing - the title and article have nothing to do with each other.  This article was written for the members of the Army of L.O.V.E. !

The word "Army" is absolutely inappropriate given the context. Unless...  ;)  it refers to Army of L.O.V.E., of course.
As for the show itself..I've always had a weird feeling about the whole idea. I really don't see the point, we all knew Jermaine couldnt really sing Mike's songs. I don't think I would have wanted to see and hear it  :?
I'm hoping there's a different meaning to it than just doing a show to honor Michael.

check out revelations 10:4  read the paralels on the left and the cross references to the right
http://bible.cc/revelation/10-4.htm
i was expecting to find wording in the revelations resembling the wordings in the article
i checked this because of seeing clues video about the gospel
now , when i was looking yesterday after reading the thread about the "gospel video"
i checked out an article from october 2 googled revelations 10:2  and came up with something regarding someone standing with a scroll in his hand who had one foot on the water and one foot on land, i did'nt see any connection to the wording in the article but with this jermain article today looking at revelations 10:4 i was surprised to see in the cross references talk of an angel with a scroll, one foot in the water and one foot etc. So there does seem to be a connection but i can't get my head around it...

The army part in the article is amazing as it does not pertain to the article at all, it has to be a message for us, or a proof of a connection between TMZ   MJ   and TS
