The house in Gary
September 16, 2010, 04:42:05 AM
There are some weird things about the house in Gary...
Is it usual that a house don't change in nearly 40 years ? That the tree in the right don't change high ?
Why are the Jackson still the owner of this house ? When they leave Gary they began a new life....why still own a small house ? It was not Katherine's or Joe's birthplace ? Why ?
Every pic i found shoes the same high from the tree right from the front door.
This year the house get a new front door and blinds at the windows.
40 years change a lot at a house and the garden.....why i looks the same ???????????

some trees keep the same hight due to the way they are cut. So nothing strange with that. ( like bonsaii trees... stay small because they are cut often, and  mountain birch for example are naturally small)

I think the garden and the  house stay the  same because they want it to stay the same. Its like a time capsual.  If it changed then it woldnt be the same to go and see it. I mean if you want to see how the J5 grew up  you want to see the house like it was back then... right?  Its like a museum.

I only thought that it was not sure that they will be so big in the future when they left Gary that they plan to care for the house ...40 years for a house...witch one looks like that after such a long time ?

And the tree...i know that some change not much, i have a big garden but such special trees are very expensive und the Jacksons are very poor in the beginning....it was nearly the only tree and then something so special ?

I just visited there a couple months ago. It was really neat to see.

I think that by the time they moved out of that house, the boys were famous so they knew it would be a tourist attraction. So they decided to keep it (certainly the could afford it) and make it look nice for when tourists and fans come to see it. They even have an MJ monument in the yard now, as well as things for sale like tshirts and posters and such.

What you have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare. It isn’t. It’s the beginning.

There is nothing strange about the Jackson keeping the house they lived there for a long time before the children became famous.

Also Katherine and janet, and randy did not move out right away once the boys went to California they were sent for later. In which they moved to california.

So they kept the house and I beleive at one time they were renting it out.
Nothing strange about that.  Even if Joe and katherine was not from that town that was the first place they had together.

I read in the Magic and Madness book that Katherine told Joe never to sell this house. She said if ever anything was to go wrong in the future and if for any reason they were to become poor then at least they always had the gary home to come back into.

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

Michael bought the Gary home at the same time he bought the Encino home. Michael owns both homes. He had the Encino home completely remodled, so Im sure he probably kept maintenence on the Gary home as well.
