It's hard to say...maybe they think nobody cares to see it.  It's not like he's exactly a celebrity or anything.  I wonder if it's a public document, and anyone can request to see it?

I will always love you Michael!

Isn't it in the public interest that it is made public? He may not be a celebrity in his own right but the case he is involved in, is high profile. When OJ was arrested, his mugshot was publicised. Also, the mugshot could "prove" that he was actually arrested and charged. The paper we have been provided with just states a name with no picture. Heck I could be CM or anyone of us!
It has never been a problem with any other high profile case involving a celebrity. A copy of the mugshot has always been released; I remember Hugh Grant!!
Seems strange to me and not "in the norm".
If I was in the family, I would want "proof" other than a piece of paper that an arrest had been made.
(NOTE I know he voluntarily surrendered himself but on the papers released, he was arrested nonetheless)

Maybe we should email TMZ about this. Sounds a bit strange to me that they haven't showed us one because they sure love to recycle his carnival pictures.

that's been bugging me. usually the mugshot is the first thing to be released because they tend to make it the most humiliating picture ever. especially a celeb's mug shot. it's like sweet nectar to tabloids. i would think murray's mugshot would be like christmas morning to all the gossip rags, especially TMZ with their michael fetish.

Yeah we're all wonderful, wonderful people
so when did we all get so fearful?
and now we're finally finding our voices
so take a chance, come help me sing this

I was reading over some of the articles on TMZ from 2008.  Disgusting and sarcastic.

Well guess what.  I just read the Harvey said one day that it's not legal in California to release mugshots.  So I guess all those shots we see of people that were arrested in California are not real - that might explain why Heather Locklear [arrested in Cali. right?]
looked so dadburn young.

Now today I was reading this.

Open Records

IV. RECORD CATEGORIES -- OPEN OR CLOSED

K. Police records.

11. Mug shots.

Access appears discretionary. See Cal. Op. Att'y Gen. No. 03-205 (2003)(sheriff has discretion to furnish copies of mug shots to public or media but once released a copy must be made available to all who make request). In California, law enforcement agencies routinely make mug shots available to the press. Indeed, in People v. McCloud, 146 Cal. App. 3d 180, 182, 194 Cal. Rptr. 75 (1983), the only published California case regarding mug shots, the court recognized that mug shots are routinely made available to the press and public and that this practice provides a variety of benefits to the public and the law enforcement system, as evident from the arrests at issue which "were brought about through the publication in a daily newspaper, of their mug shots taken after some earlier arrest." The McCloud case does not discuss access to mug shots pursuant to the CPRA. It holds instead that mug shots are not part of the criminal summary history ("rap sheet"), which is a confidential record under Penal Code Section 13300. The United States Supreme Court has held that the public release of a booking photograph does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of privacy of the arrestee because arrest records are traditionally public. Paul v. Davis, 424 U.S. 693 (1976).

I don't know if this is outdated and something changed.
