I believe both cases has nothing to do with our Michael. Someone with the same name.
First one is Michael Jackson, who apparently was a Verizon employee and sues employer over violation of ERISA law, when employers fails to enroll employee in retirement plan.
Second one  same scenario, employee sues employer over the violation of fair Labor Standards Act. This law applies to type of businesses engaged in interstate commerce.
