MJ Mausoleum -- Who's Ready for Yoga?!

MJ Mausoleum -- Who's Ready for Yoga?!
41 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

MJ's mausoleum is about to be penetrated by a busload of hardcore Yoga enthusiasts ... and TMZ has learned Forest Lawn is welcoming them with open arms.

According to sources at the cemetery, the followers of Paramahansa Yogananda  (pictured top right) -- a famous Indian guru and yogi who died almost 60 years ago -- plan to visit their master's crypt today for a prayer ritual ... and his crypt happens to be inside the same mausoleum where MJ resides.

The problem -- the Great Mausoleum has been on lockdown mode for months -- thanks to some overzealous MJ fans -- with the cemetery threatening to remove Jacko-holics by force if they're caught anywhere near the building.

But we're told since Yogananda's followers have been doing their prayer thing in the mausoleum for years -- and have never caused a problem -- they're cool to enter the area.

However, according to our sources, MJ's tomb will be covered with a screen during the spiritual visit -- and get this ... it's all because security is afraid a few crazed MJ fans could pose as yoga enthusiasts ... just to sneak into the mausoleum.

Namaste.

@Jacko-holics

"Yeah, Wacko Jacko, where did that come from? Some English tabloid. I have a heart and I have feelings. I feel that when you do that to me. It's not nice."

Michael in his own words..

But as I posted in the thread about the curtain in front of that piece of marble - hiding that piece of marble is BS because:

The Sanctuary of Golden Slumber is NOT in Holly Terrace:

The Great Mausoleum is divided into several 'sections', called the terraces.  Each terrace has it's own entrance.
According to the superintendent of the Great Mausoleum, to which I spoke on the phone in the beginning of June, there are no connecting corridors between the terraces.

There is no need to hide that tomb because of visitors to Paramahansa Yogananda burial plot, as there's no way these visitors can get into Holly Terrace when visiting Paramahansa Yogananda burial plot.

Paramahansa Yogananda's final resting place is located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. The crypt is in the Sanctuary of Golden Slumber in the Great Mausoleum structure. Directions to the mausoleum are available from the information booth located at the park's main entrance. Please click here to view an official property map. Park hours are daily from 8:00am - 5:00pm (6:00pm DST); however, please note that the Mausoleum closes at 4:00pm. For driving directions, please visit MapQuest.

The following information is intended to enhance your pilgrimage experience. Please note that the entrance to the Sanctuary of Golden Slumber alcove of the Great Mausoleum is not very visible from the driveway. Park your vehicle in the lined spaces on the right near the main mausoleum entrance, then walk back up the hill towards the first section of the building. You will enter down a walkway and through a single green door. Security will buzz you in to the mausoleum. Proceed down the hall until you reach the Sanctuary of Golden Slumber (on your right side).

There are two small marble benches in the sanctuary, one in front of the crypt, the other by the stained glass window. Since the benches, walls, and floor are marble, the temperature in the sanctuary can be cool. It's a lovely spot to pay homage to Master and to spend some time in meditation! Flowers are provided daily, so please refrain from bringing your own. In the hallway just past the crypt, a plaque dedicated to the memory of Paramahansa Yogananda's Self-Realization Fellowship disciples adorns the right side wall.

Okay, who's in the Forrest Lawn Glendale area and can go there today?  This article looks like an open invitation to come and look around in the Great Mausoleum.  It would be great if someone from here would take this opportunity to peek around.

And to cover the grave, not with it is calling more attention?

I'm about a 6 hour drive from there. I would have went if I knew about this in advance. I would have taken my yoga mat and everything. But I guess they really didn't want people to know in advance.
