Katherine Jackson: MJ Danced to a Washing Machine
8/4/2010 12:15 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

Katherine Jackson says she vividly remembers the first time she knew MJ would be a superstar -- and
it all harkens back to the time baby Michael danced to the rhythm of an old washing machine.

DESTINED FOR STARDOM

According to Mama Jackson, the King of Pop-in-a-diaper danced to the rhythm of the family's old Maytag
washing machine with "perfect timing" -- and she knew right then and there that her son was destined
for greatness.

The video is all part of a longer interview from the website selling Katherine's book -- and we're told you
can expect to see the whole thing in a big documentary about MJ's life.

These DOTS (acronyms) have to do with the Bible. I think we may be being directed to research the Bible. Though, I could be wrong of course.

KJ - King James

The Authorized King James Version
is an English translation of the Christian Holy Bible begun in 1604 and completed in 1611 by the Church of England. Printed by the King's Printer, Robert Barker, the first edition included schedules unique to the Church of England; for example, a lectionary for morning and evening prayer. This was the third such official translation into English; the first having been the Great Bible commissioned by the Church of England in the reign of King Henry VIII, and the second having been the Bishop's Bible of 1568. In January 1604, King James I of England convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans, a faction within the Church of England.

James gave the translators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its beliefs about an ordained clergy. The translation was by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from the Textus Receptus (Received Text) series of the Greek texts. The Old Testament was translated from the Masoretic Hebrew text, while the Apocrypha were translated from the Greek Septuagint (LXX), except for 2 Esdras, which was translated from the Latin Vulgate.

While the Authorized Version was meant to replace the Bishops' Bible as the official version for readings in the Church of England, it was apparently (unlike the Great Bible) never specifically "authorized", although it is commonly known as the Authorized Version in the United Kingdom. However, the King's Printer issued no further editions of the Bishops' Bible; so necessarily the Authorized Version supplanted it as the standard lectern Bible in parish church use in England. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible — for Epistle and Gospel readings — and as such was "authorized" by Act of Parliament.

By the first half of the 18th century, the Authorized Version was effectively unchallenged as the English translation used in Anglican and Protestant churches. Over the course of the 18th century, the Authorized Version supplanted the Latin Vulgate as the standard version of scripture for English speaking scholars.

Throughout most of the world, the Authorized Version has passed out of copyright and is freely reproduced. In the United Kingdom, the British Crown restricts production of the Authorized Version per transitional exemptions from the Copyright Act 1775 (which implemented this clause) in the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988

(Schedule 1, section 13(1)), which expire in 2039. Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, HarperCollins and the Queen's Printers have the right to produce the Authorized Version.

Messianic Bible translations - Messianic Prophecy Bible
The Messianic Prophecy Bible Project leaders state their goal of a translation that "will point a clear path toward Yeshua as the Messiah throughout the Old and New Testaments. At the same time, rabbinical misinformation and the arguments of anti-missionaries will be exposed."

The Messianic Prophecy Bible Project
At present, there is no Bible that can be used in evangelistic outreach to unsaved Jewish people that exposes the truth of the Messianic prophecies in a way that Jewish people understand and relate to.

Searching for the promised Messiah in any current Bible can be confusing for a Jewish person due to unfamiliar Christian terminology and the lack of explanation of the Messianic prophecies. When a Jewish person goes to a family member or their rabbi for answers about the Messianic prophecies, they are told how Yeshua is NOT the promised Messiah, so they give up their search.

Add to this confusion the fact that for over 15 years, anti-missionary organizations such as Aish HaTorah and Jews for Judaism have been systematically attempting to discredit the Messianic prophecies and Jewish faith in Yeshua. They publish anti-missionary materials with such inflammatory headlines as... Dealing With Missionary Tactics, Jesus Was Not Our Passover Lamb, The Missionary Menace, The Real Messiah, The Battle For The Jewish Soul, and Why Jews Can't Be For Jesus. It is clear that an accurately researched Messianic Prophecy Bible is needed to reach unsaved Jewish people.

Since most Jewish people have never even read the Bible, The Hebrew Messianic Prophecy Bible will:
   * Emphasize the Messianic prophecies.
   * Explain how Yeshua fulfilled those prophecies.
   * Answer rabbinical interpretation and the anti-missionary arguments against Yeshua being the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies.

The Hebrew Messianic Prophecy Bible will point a clear path toward Yeshua as the Messiah throughout the Old and New Testaments. At the same time, rabbinical misinformation and the arguments of anti-missionaries will be exposed.

J.D. Eisenstein on Bible Criticism - Pt. 1 Eisenstein's Commentary on the Torah
Eisenstein's Commentary on the Torah  was written as a reaction to modern Biblical criticism. It is a “Defense of the Traditional Jewish Viewpoint” (which is also the subtitle of the book) and the author attempts to call into question many of the assertions of Bible critics. Since this is a relatively hard book to find, I am providing a summary of his arguments on a chapter by chapter basis.

Traditional Jews Appalled By Connection To Israel
Russell Waxman Assistant Editor True Torah Jews/Jews Against Zionism You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Traditional Jews are much troubled by the increasing frequency of references to Jewry and their supposed connection to Israel in political and media rhetoric such as was heard at the recent political conventions. Politicians seem to feel that this topic is of great interest to all American Jews and that to win the Jewish popular vote they must come out in favor of the Zionist state. Focusing on this issue only serves to inflame anti-Semitism, an historically essential component to the advancement of Zionism, while endangering traditional Jews who, as a result of the public,s mistaken belief that all Jews are Zionists, are wrongly and unfairly blamed for the deplorable actions of the secular state of Israel.

The relatively new concept of Zionism began only about one hundred years ago and since that time Torah-true Jewry has steadfastly opposed the Zionist ideology. This struggle is rooted in two convictions:

1. Zionism, by advocating a political and military end to the Jewish exile, denies the very essence of our Diaspora existence. We are in exile by Divine Decree and may emerge from exile solely via Divine Redemption. All human efforts to alter a metaphysical reality are doomed to end in failure and bloodshed. History has clearly borne out this teaching.

2. Zionism has not only denied our fundamental belief in Heavenly Redemption it has also created a pseudo-Judaism which views the essence of our identity to be a secular nationalism. Accordingly, Zionism and the Israeli state have consistently endeavored, via persuasion and coercion, to replace a Divine and Torah centered understanding of our people hood with an armed materialism.

Therefore, it is of the utmost urgency that Israel should not be seen as a Jewish State, rather as a Zionist State. The foundation of its existence is not Judaism but Zionist ideology and In fact endangers the welfare of Jews worldwide by linking Jews and Judaism to the actions of the Zionist State. Indeed, hatred of Jews is the very lifeblood and oxygen of the Zionist movement and their state, which are in diametric opposition to Judaism.

Jews are commanded by their religious laws and the standards of elementary civility to be loyal citizens in the country of their residence. This has been a basic norm of the Torah faith ever since the destruction of the holy Temple in Jerusalem and the exile of the Jewish People some two thousand years ago. The great biblical prophet, Jeremiah, proclaimed G-d's message to all the Diaspora: "Seek out the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you and pray for it to the Almighty, for through its welfare will you have welfare." (29:7). This has been a cornerstone of Jewish morality throughout history.

It is high time to set the record straight. Traditional Jews do not endorse the actions of the Zionist state nor do they favor political support of Israel. Traditional Jews strongly support and commend the efforts of the United States government and its dedicated administration who diligently work to prevent more calamities from occurring in the Middle East. Traditional Jews residing in America are loyal to one country -- the United States of America. Any connection of Jews to Israel only serves to fuel confusion and anti-Semitism.

Zionist Jews seek media attention amidst lurid and constant accusations of anti - Semitism against all and sundry to further their cause. Traditional Jews do not seek media or political publicity. Torah Jews desire simply to worship the Creator and live modest lives away from the glare of public hoopla.

We ask our politicians and news organizations to focus on the issues of interest to all Americans of every faith and not those of a foreign realm. This path will promote peace and tolerance and allow all of us to address the spiritual and material needs of all Americans.

WM - Abbreviation for William - William Tyndale

The Tyndale Bible
The Tyndale Bible generally refers to the body of biblical translations by William Tyndale. Tyndale’s Bible is credited with being the first English translation to come directly from Hebrew and Greek texts. Furthermore it was the first English biblical translation that was mass produced as a result of new advances in the art of printing. The term Tyndale's Bible is not strictly correct, because Tyndale never published a complete Bible. Prior to his execution Tyndale had only finished translating the entire New Testament and roughly half of the Old Testament. Of the latter, the Pentateuch, Jonah  and a revised version of the book of Genesis were published during his lifetime. His other Old Testament works were first used in the creation of the Matthew Bible and also heavily influenced every major English translation of the Bible that followed.

Jehovah
Jehovah is an anglicized representation of "the proper name of God". It is a transliteration of a Hebrew vocalization of the sacred Tetragrammaton, the name that, according to the Bible, God revealed to his people. This appears 6,518 times in the traditional Masoretic Text, in addition to 305 instances of Jehovih. The earliest available Latin text to use a vocalization similar to Jehovah dates from the 13th century.

In English it appeared in William Tyndale's translation of the Pentateuch ("The Five Books of Moses"), published in 1530 in Germany, where Tyndale had studied since 1524, possibly in one or more of the universities at Wittenberg, Worms and Marburg, where Hebrew was taught. The spelling used by Tyndale was "Iehouah"; at that time, I was not distinguished from J, and U was not distinguished from V. The original 1611 printing of the Authorized King James Version  used "Iehovah". Tyndale wrote about the divine name: "IEHOUAH [Jehovah], is God's name; neither is any creature so called; and it is as much to say as, One that is of himself, and dependeth of nothing. Moreover, as oft as thou seest LORD in great letters (except there be any error in the printing), it is in Hebrew Iehouah, Thou that art; or, He that is."

God's Name and Bible Translators
EARLY in the second century, after the last of the apostles had died, the falling away from the Christian faith foretold by Jesus and his followers began in earnest. Pagan philosophies and doctrines infiltrated the congregation; sects and divisions arose, and the original purity of faith was corrupted. And God's name ceased to be used.

The name first appeared in an English Bible in 1530, when William Tyndale published a translation of the first five books of the Bible. In this he included the name of God, usually spelled Iehouah, in several verses,# and in a note in this edition he wrote: "Iehovah is God's name . . .  Moreover as oft as thou seist LORD in great letters (except there be any error in the printing) it is in Hebrew Iehovah." From this the practice arose of using Jehovah's name in just a few verses and writing "LORD" or "GOD" in most other places where the Tetragrammaton occurs in the Hebrew text.

In 1611 what became the most widely used English translation, the Authorized Version, was published. In this, the name appeared four times in the main text. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4) "Jah," a poetic abbreviation of the name, appeared in Psalm 68:4. And the name appeared in full in place-names such as "Jehovah-jireh." (Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24) However, following the example of Tyndale, the translators in most instances substituted "LORD" or "GOD" for God's name. But if God's name could appear in four verses, why could it not appear in all the other thousands of verses that contain it in the original Hebrew?

Why They Left It Out
When J. M. Powis Smith and Edgar J. Goodspeed produced a modern translation of the Bible in 1935, readers found that LORD and GOD had been used in most places as a substitution for God's name. The reason was explained in a preface: "In this translation we have followed the orthodox Jewish tradition and substituted 'the Lord' for the name 'Yahweh' and the phrase 'the Lord God' for the phrase 'the Lord Yahweh.' In all cases where 'Lord' or 'God' represents an original 'Yahweh' small capitals are employed."

Then, in an unusual reversal of the tradition of the Jews who read YHWH but pronounced it "Lord," the preface says: "Anyone, therefore, who desires to retain the flavor of the original text has but to read 'Yahweh' wherever he sees LORD or GOD"!

On reading this, the question immediately comes to mind: If reading "Yahweh" instead of "LORD" retains the "flavor of the original text," why did the translators not use "Yahweh" in their translation? Why did they, in their own word, 'substitute' the word "LORD" for God's name and thus mask the flavor of the original text?

The translators say that they were following orthodox Jewish tradition. Yet is that wise for a Christian? Remember, it was the Pharisees, the preservers of orthodox Jewish tradition, who rejected Jesus and were told by him: "You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition." (Matthew 15:6) Such substitution truly weakens the Word of God.

King James Bible - Early Editions
Corrected editions were published by the Cambridge University Press in 1629 and 1638 by the hand of Dr. Goad of Hadley, Dr. Joseph Mead, Dean Bois and Dr. Samuel Ward of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, the last two having been members of the original group of revisers. Carelessly printed copies continued to appear, some printed in Holland. In 1762 Dr. F.S. Paris of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, prepared a newly corrected edition for the University Press, and seven years later Dr. Benjamin Blayney prepared a similar edition for the Oxford Press, but no comprehensive revision was undertaken until the middle of the nineteenth century.

While it is interesting to examine the strengths and weaknesses of Bible versions, we must realize that the important thing is not which translation a person reads, but that he reads something. No translation is perfect, but no translation is so poor that it obscures the message that God intends us to have. The Word of God speaks clearly to us as we read. Of the many versions it may be said, as Paul said of the many preachers of his day, “Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will . . . ” but “whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice” (Phil. 1:15, 18).

The New King James Version (NKJV) is the product of over 130 evangelical scholars and it is intended to be a replacement for the KJV of 1611. The New Testament appeared in 1979 and the Old Testament in l982. The strengths of this translation are its fidelity to the KJV tradition, its modernization of terminology, its accuracy, and its flowing cadences.

The Ethiopian Bible

What Is the Ethiopian Bible? - By Tom Rale
Many Christians are under the impression there is a singular bible that is available to all and is undisputed as the true word of God. Both of these are false assumptions. Not only has the Bible yet to be translated into some 2,393 languages, but also the actual content of the bible varies as well. One of the best examples of this is the Ethiopian bible.

Oldest Christian Nation
1. Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world, and many scientist believe it to be where humans first appeared on Earth. Ethiopia is also the oldest Christian nation dating back to the time of the Apostle Phillip. In Acts 8:27-39 we are told of a royal official from Ethiopia who wanted to learn about Christ. The teachings of Christ were taken back to Ethiopia and spread quickly. Some time in the 300s the Ethiopian Emperor Ezana was baptised. As a result, Ethiopia has a strong Christian heritage.

Ethiopia Stands Alone
2. Modern day Ethiopia is a nation of more than 83 million people who are almost evenly divided between Christian and Muslim. The 1.1 million square kilometers of Ethiopia are completely land locked, which is somewhat representative of its past. Ethiopia was a strong Christian nation, which was cut off from Europe by the armies of Islam. Forgotten by the West, Ethiopia was left to develop on its own in a hostile environment. As a portion of this development, the Ethiopian church developed the Ethiopian bible.

The Old Testament
3. The King James bible contains 39 books in the old testament. The Ethiopian bible contains a total of 51 books. The only book of the old testament found in the King James bible, which is not in the Ethiopian bible is the book of Lamentations. There are however 13 books in the Ethiopian bible which are not to be found in the King James bible. It is not surprising the Ethiopian bible contains almost the entire old testament from the King James bible, since Ethiopia had a very strong Jewish presence. The books of the old testament which appear in the Ethiopian bible but not the King James are:

      Jubilee
      Enoch
      2 Ezra
      Ezra Sutuel
      Tobit
      Judith
      1 Maccabees
      2 Maccabees
      3 Maccabees
      Tegsats
Book of Joshua the son of Sirac
The book of Josephas the son of Bengorion

New Testament
4. The Ethiopian new testament contains the same 27 books of the new testament from Matthew through the book of Revelation. Unlike the King James bible, however, the Ethiopian bible continues past Revelations with an additional eight books.
These books include:
Sirate Tsion (the book of order)
      Tizaz (the book of Herald)
      Abtilis
      The 1st book of Dominos
      The 2nd book of Dominos
      The book of Clement
      Didascalia

Canon of the Ethiopian Church
5. While many of the books found in the old testament of the Ethiopian bible are absent in the King James version, there are some interesting facts surrounding these books. One such example are the books of Enoch and Jubilee which are ancient Jewish texts. While they do not appear in the old testament of the King James bible, they are quoted in the King James new testament. Ethiopian scripture is based on some of the most ancient transcripts and records in existence, which gives the Ethiopian bible a broader content than any other version of the bible, and some feel a truer and more complete telling of the word of God.

Gimme Your Love Lyrics
Bet you're gettin' the wrong idea 'bout me
Bet you're thinkin' there's more than the eye can see
I'll tell you somethin', then maybe again I won't
'Cause now you see me, but who knows, maybe you don't

Time after time...you had your chances and
you threw them away..oh no..
Don't waste my time, 'cause I don't need the glory
That's all I want to say.....

Gimme your love
You know what it does to me
-Drives me crazy....ain't tellin' no lies
Gimme your love
With you I feel satisfied
When you're by my side
I tell you no lies
It's on the line....can't think about nothin' else

Suits me fine, 'Cause I know we're two of a kind
To trust myself is something I just can't do
So how the hell..girl...am I going to trust you?
Night after night....two crazy people
getting high on their love
Crazy love....
Don't stop me now, I got a one-way ticket
straight to your heart.

So this phrase isn't being used correctly in the sentence in the article:

"and it all harkens back to the time baby Michael danced to the rhythm of an old washing machine."

Or we are being told to listen to a time in the past?
