The surgical instruments allegedly used to conduct the autopsy of singer Elvis Presley have been removed from an upcoming auction following doubts about the authenticity of the items.

The auction was due to feature forceps, needle injectors, aneurysm hooks, an arterial tube and lip brushes used during autopsy following Presley’s death in 1977. The sale was also set to include rubber gloves, a comb, eye liner and even a toe tag for identifying Presley’s corpse in the morgue.

The instruments were expected to sell for a total of $14,000, but officials at Chicago’ Leslie Hindman Auctioneers have withdrawn the items following queries about their legitimacy, reports torontosun.com.

The memorabilia was reportedly kept by an unnamed senior embalmer at the Memphis Funeral Home where the body of the rock ‘n’ roll legend was stored prior to his funeral - but the retiree’s claims were called into question after another employee suggested the equipment was sterilized and used again in other autopsies.

Probably it is also due to the fact that there will be a court case with Eliza Presley, who claims to the half sister of Elvis Presley and she claims he is alive. So those tools were used on Whom?  :o

I'm happy to be alive, I'm happy to be who I am.
Michael Jackson

That is just sick and morbid!  Who in their right mind would want autopsy tools, even if it was from a famous person.  If MJ really was gone from us and someone offered me those tools, I would have them melted right away.  That is just sick!!!!!!!!!!
