Ubisoft has detailed its line of Michael Jackson games.

Titled Michael Jackson: The Experience, the console releases will feature dancing and singing elements for a variety of tracks from the singer's back catalogue.

It will utilise motion controllers, with support for Xbox 360's Kinect, PS3's Move controller and the Nintendo Wii.

Kinect will offer full body motion tracking and will project players on screen using the 'Player Projection' technology offered in Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.

Both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will feature karaoke modes to sing along to tracks, along with an auto-pitch correction for incorrect notes.

The systems will allow four users to play simultaneously, while the Wii version will support eight players through passing the controller.

Confirmed tracks include 'Beat It' and 'Billie Jean', with Jackson himself featuring as a dance coach.

Also announced were DS and PSP editions with rhythm-based gameplay and unlockable trivia and mini-games.

All versions will be released in November.

So when did Michael actually work on this?  He is featured as the dance coach, correct?  How?  Was all of this done and in the can before last June? It sounds very cool, and very detailed.  I would think there would be a lot of voice-over work and script changes along the way.  When did he start work on it?
Seems like I might learn how to Moonwalk yet    I am so uncoordinated.....
I will owe you a Coke, Michael, if I learn to Moonwalk!
Looking forward to it!

Blessings!

Just wondering.
Does this involve Sony in any way?
I mean, other than using songs from the catalog..

Michael, we\'ll never stop loving you.
We\'re all wishing you well, and wishing you home.

Playstation is Sony but this isn't a PS3 exclusive.

I don't believe this game is really in production. Betcha it never sees the light of day.

Are you entertained?

So now it is called "The Experience"...

I went to Ubisoft's website and no Michael Jackson Game is listed as coming soon.  I think that it would have been added to their site at the same time a press release was given to the media.

When I put Michael Jackson into the search on Ubisoft's website, I receive the following response:
"No results were found. Please try again"
Yet as I said other games are listed as being released through out the year.

From the "news" articles I have been reading on this the title of this supposed video game is:
Michael Jackson:The Game
I don't know why but this title just seems odd to me and I can't explain it.

Here is a picture from one of the articles on the Internet about this "game"

and another

The game's launch is set to coincide with the release of an album in November containing previously unreleased Jackson tracks.

So shouldn't this game be on Ubisoft website, advertising, pre-ordering etc, like all the other games they are creating?

Don't get too excited. If it is a real game why isn't it listed on Ubisoft's web page?

Michael Jackson The Experience Delayed
Kinect and Move dance games now shipping in 2011.
September 10, 2010

Gamers itching to do the moonwalk in their living rooms will have to wait a little while longer.

Ubisoft confirmed to IGN this morning both the Move and Kinect versions of Michael Jackson The Experience will now ship in early 2011. The publisher said this move was done in part to allow its developers more time to polish the games.

"We're giving our teams more time to develop the Kinect and Move versions to ensure we deliver awesome experiences that take full advantage of the new technologies," a representative said.

Ubisoft did say, however, the Wii, DS and PSP versions of the game are still planned for this year and will ship on Nov. 23 in North America and Nov. 25 in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

I still don't see anything about this game on their website though
