Love and God . God and LOve.One and the same.
And I believe that is the ultimate Answer to the why of our very
existence.
Thank you so much for your inspiring true life story.
God did never let you down, and through out your hard to endure experiences, he was just purifying you, through his divine fire.

And, since you never sold out to  hate, you came out ..looking like a shining STAR..full of LOVE!!
Just like our Michael..the Lover and the Beloved.

God Bless You, Friend!

Hello friends...I am really hoping that more people will share their stories of love, or even just post what love means to them. Like I said before, when you share your feelings and talk about love, it inspires others to do the same..soon you will get the "snowball"  effect and that is how you spread love and awareness...so share your feelings, it's good for the soul. :P

That shows testament that you love yourself. I think that. Once people begin to love themselves than they can begin to love our fellow humans. As the old adage stated love people as you want them to love you. People do evil things in this world because they have not found true love. This kind of true love can only be found by searching within oneself. It is there, it is that we need to help each other to find it.

Beautiful story! I agree with Supervision that God was purifying you to make you even more full of love, than you are already! I'm so glad you found "special" LOVE!

My story is mostly that all my childhood till 17 when I moved to the city, I lacked my mother's love; she had a mental illness because of experiencing child molestation, and she singled me out, hated and hurt me emotionally and physically (she died at age 50 when I was 21). My father was loving but distant, focused on her happiness (like co-dependency). It has affected my self-confidence and ease around people profoundly. I try to follow what God wants me to do, and try to love people around me, but love is awkward for me sometimes. I accept that's just the way I am, and sometimes I am very lonely. But God has been very good to me. I have a husband and 3 grown children who I love and who love me (been lots of hard times), and 3 very close friends that I see often. I'm content. I believe God has a different path of hurdles and struggles for each person to overcome, in their walk towards being Godlike. It's good when we can encourage each other, especially when someone is at a low point. I've so enjoyed this last year here, listening to other's stories and seeing the different gifts God has given people! Someone mentioned why wouldn't all people open up more to love. I think people have to have a receptacle to hold that love in, and if it's been damaged, it might take a miracle to feel safe and relaxed in love.

Whenever I think about my experiences with Love, I feel this:

Kahlil Gibran on Love

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God."
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.

WOW Soldier!!! This is so beautiful and true!! I see my my life, when reading those words! it is so true,that we must live life at the lowest lows in order to really appreciate and understand, when you are handed the gift of love. This poem spoke to me, like no other before it. This whole journey that I am on right now is something more powerful to me then I could have ever imagined...i can't explain the changes that have come my way lately, but I do know that this is what I am suppose to be doing... Spreading love and giving hope to others. I have been to the deepest depths of despair, I have had a near death experience, in fact the first 37 years of my life was an absolute train wreck, but I survived and now I live, I mean really truly live. I have endured so much pain and heartache in my short life, that it is truely a  "miracle" that I am so filled with love today...My friends, I am living proof that if you truly believe in love, with every ounce of your being, you can achieve the "impossible". I am so grateful today, that I always followed my heart, ALWAYS. I am so thankful that I have been given this opportunity to spread love to others I feel like I am being guided by some "unknown" energy...and it is the best feeling in the world! Love is the best feeling in the world....I am so thankful to be a part of Michael's journey and I look forward to finally achieving the ultimate goal of peace and love on earth.... Embrace this gift Michael has given us. Spread love and awareness, to others.

I love you more..."Heart" to "Heart" always!

Don't be sad...Love is a wonderful, fulfilling feeling...the journey may sometimes be sad, but if you are lucky enough to let your love guide you through the rough times, the end result can be something truly amazing.. trust me...talk about love..it is infectious and remember...Everyone wants to be loved...even the ones who claim they don't believe in love, deep in their hearts they really do...we all need love, but sadly most people have lost sight of that. Look in your heart...follow your heart...stay in tune with your feelings and share your feelings with others.  :D
