Facts of Michael Jackson Lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray in Question
The world paid tribute to Michael Jackson yesterday on the anniversary of the day we lost him, and today, we read about the Michael Jackson lawsuit the Michael's father, Joe, has filed against Dr. Conrad Murray. Dr. Murray is being accused by Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson for drinking and becoming drunk before treating Michael with Propofol.
The press possesses a copy of legal documentation that Joe Jackson sent to Dr. Conrad Murray explaining that he is filing a Michael Jackson lawsuit against the doctor. These papers, which will be filed in federal court this morning, discuss several claims that Dr. Murray was drinking in a night club the day before the incident occurred with Michael Jackson where Dr. Murray administered an overdose of Propofol to Michael Jackson. However, both the owner and an employee of the club deny that Dr. Murray was ever there. It also has been said by Dr. Murray's attorney that Murray does not even drink.
The document in question was written by attorney Brian Oxman and it outlines what occurred one year ago that is now propelling this Michael Jackson lawsuit. Oxman stated that, "His [Murray's] conduct was inhuman. It was an extreme violation of the standard of care."
The document for Michael Jackson's lawsuit that Oxman prepared also stated, "On June 25, 2009, prior to treating Michael Jackson, defendant was at a 'strip club' called 'Sam's Hofbrau' in Los Angeles where he had been 'drinking.' It was reckless for him to 'drink' prior to administering anesthesia to Michael Jackson. He concealed his conduct from Michael Jackson."
The document also shares that Michael Jackson had, "neurological, pulmonary, and anemia signs over several weeks. In May and June, 2009, Michael Jackson was confused, easily frightened, unable to remember, obsessive, and disoriented. He had impaired memory, loss of appetite, and absence of energy. He was cold and shivering during the summer rehearsals for his show ... And Dr. Murray ignored the signs of Michael Jackson's pulmonary inflammation, brain swelling, and anemia."
Oxman blames Dr. Murray for all these symptoms with which Michael Jackson suffered and says they were caused by the "polypharmacy" of drugs Murray administered to Jackson. Oxman says that Dr. Murray repeatedly withheld important information about the drugs he gave to Michael. Murray allegedly did not share this information with the EMT's who came to the scene to help Michael.
In opposition to attorney Brian Oxman's Michael Jackson lawsuit documentation, Dr. Conrad Murray's legal team shared with the press that, "The allegations are absolute, utter nonsense." Other people close to Dr. Murray also denied that Dr. Murray ever drinks.
Many allegations and questions about the events that led Joe Jackson to file a Michael Jackson lawsuit will most likely be in question for years to come, if not, forever. Rest in Peace, Michael.
