The first group of Michael Jackson fans have just arrived to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California -- where MJ is entombed -- in preparation for the one year anniversary of the singer's death.

We're told the cemetery is expecting thousands of people to show up in the next 24 hours.

Forest lawn officials tell us they're already preparing security efforts to keep the crowds under control.

What should we think about this? They're preparing security efforts, so the fans can't get to the tombe/grave? ... well.. if that story of "michael's body is missing" is true, they would look like real fools don't they

Its a big ugly cold place.....nothing for a warm loving person.

If Michael was really dead i think he would wanted be laid to rest in a beautiful heavenly looking place, outside in nature, not a stone cold place like Forest Lawn.
I think that he would go back to his roots, near his birthplace or perhaps Africa.
That's my opinion.

Wow fans arriving already.  Anyway we always see fans go to Forest Lawn.  Debbie Rowe made her appearance.  Obviously we never see the family go there except on the reality show and Jermaine will do an interview there on Friday which to me is odd to conduct an interview at a place like this.  I think it's strange also that we have never seen any of MJ's close friends go there and it's been a year.  You would think if he was really there there would be pics of some of his celeb friends coming to see him. That's another reason I believe he's not there. Chris Tucker, Akon, Liz, Will I Am, Maculay Culkin, Steve Harvey, Al Sharpton, Michael Beardon none of them have been see there.  Even Stevie Wonder wouldn't go there when he went to see his mom that's buried there.  He had to be asked by his children.  Come on now.

But they put up security for the crowd to get them under control-...for what??

Actually this is meant to be a mourning of big loss...and not a big concert, or am I wrong ?

My feelings about this has always been that if Forest Lawn or the family didn't want publicity or crowds at these milestones, then they would never have publicy stated where the crypt or his final resting place was.  They aren't stupid.  They knew that they wouldn't be able to keep fans away.  Not only did they publicize it, they televised it :?   Come on now.  They are a tabloid family, surely they aren't that naive.  Forest Lawn is making major bucks off of MJ fans with buying flowers,teddy bears, etc.  They have cut deals with some MJ groups to use their florists for all those purchases you hear about, like the 4,000 roses delivered today with the sunflowers that were sat outside the gates :?  as a kind of bargaining tool to get certain people special privileges to get inside.  The valentines day flowers, cards, balloons,  I know, because I participated in a couple of them myself.  Something about that however just doesn't seem quite kosher.

Does not surprise me at all. Jermaine's interview has been taped - so he won't be there.
This should be very interesting. Notice the barricades are in place - seems like they won't be anywhere near the building, maybe???
