Mariah Carey wants Michael Jackson's living room set in the worst way -- and we mean worst.



TMZ has learned Mariah has ordered Kenneth Bordewick, her interior designer, to bid on an ornate living room set owned by Michael at Julien's Auctions, which will be held tomorrow in Vegas.

Michael bought the furniture to fill the London mansion he was supposed to live in during the run of the "This Is It" tour.

According to the auction house, the living room set -- which MJ bought for $200,000 -- could fetch $1 million.  The open bid -- $150,000.  The proceeds -- minus commissions -- will go to Jackson's estate.

You gotta believe Mariah will put old lady plastic covers on the furniture, in case Nick has an accident.

Well let's post them and see...

1. Foxbury Manor -- The mansion Michael was going to rent in Kent.

2. Michael bought this chair specifically for Elizabeth Taylor. We're told Michael was going to put this in a room he was designing for her in his London home.

3. Michael's favorite piece. Cost him $120,000. The sofa is fifteen feet long and has inlaid onyx stones. We're told Michael wanted to use it on stage at his London concerts.

4. This $110,000 table was handmade and was modeled after a desk given to King Louis XIV. Table contains a secret compartment -- which Michael loved.

5. Michael bought six of these chairs -- four for his game room and two for his master bathroom.

6. Chair contains hand embroidered 24k gold and was modeled after furniture from Tsar Nicholas II's collection.

7. Chair was made for Michael's "Little Mermaid" themed room.

8. Michael loved this hanging table ... but wasn't sure what the heck he was going to do with it.

9. This table was supposed to go in Michael's library.

10. This sofa was made from the highest quality velvet ... and the pillows are made out of the same fabric as Michael's costumes. It was meant for his bedroom.
