I saw this youtube video as news live on Sky news the day that Michael Jackson died.At the time I was thinking that the part at 01:20 is strange

"when did you last speak to Michael?"
"I don't want to comment on it".

At the time I was thinking, he does not want to say because it was so long ago and proves he was not really close friend of Michael.

Today I play the video again and I wonder.I have perhaps misunderstood the message of the video?

Maybe he does not want to comment because he spoke to him when Michael was meant to be dead?
