“Michael Jackson and Bubbles: The Untold Story” is set to air on Animal Planet next week. The documentary details the relationship between the King of Pop and his beloved chimp through first-hand accounts from those who were close to the pair including Michael Jackson’s sister, La Toya.

The psychology behind Jackson’s devotion to Bubbles and other animals he surrounded himself with during his tumultuous life will also be addressed. Additionally, the show reveals what happened to Bubbles The Chimp when Jackson could no longer care for him and where the famous primate is today.

“Michael Jackson and Bubbles: The Untold Story” premiers Tuesday, June 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Animal Planet.

I feel pretty happy with my rats and other pets, but I would love to have a zoo...even if I think they're better wild than" locked in cages", sometime they cannot get back to wildness, then I wouldn't mind saving them and offering them a good place to live.

I won't be able to watch this cause I don't have this channel here, but maybe someone will put in on the web.  :roll:

I understand why MJ loved animals and had them. It's because they're loyal and always there and always there with love and give hugs and wait for treats and they don't talk to gossip papers and they only love you for you and they don't care who you are or what you have.

I've read Michael used to keep tarantulas. I love tarantulas! I wish i'd knew which species MJ had.

Bless - but they really dont need to analyse it.  He loved animals because he was a sensitive man.  Loads of people love animals.   Michael just happened to have enough money to afford a zoo in his backyard..  Mike got Giraffe money!

I agree. If I would have money, I wouldn't mind keeping a zoo as well; I don't think there's something wrong with it.

Thanks for posting... however, I have tears in my eyes.  I also LOVE animals and how do you analyze someone's love and adoration for them.  

Dear Jesus .. I hope this is not another "let's pick him apart" show,  but I will wait, watch and see and hope this makes Michael shine even brighter.

I love the above pictures, there is something about the look on his face that truly shows how sincere he is about animals.

I think it will be positive. Animal Planet is sensitive to animal treatment, etc. Michael was very good to his animals. And he had a love for zoos all over the world. When he was here in Miami he visited our Zoo. The directer which you will see in this video gave him a private tour and closed the zoo. Michael left a huge donation - God Bless him.

I still hold my words cause you know, Peta did a lot about Michael keeping animals. They never found anything wrong, but they tried a lot...so I prefer waiting to see what they say, until I say it's a good documentary...

Yes you're very right. The problem when you're Michael Jackson it's that the medias tend to scrutinize every single atom of your life with their microscope and if they find a single atom of defect or something in this way be sure that they will magnify it to no rational end. If Michael appeared to kill a fly in public like Obama I'm sure it would hit the news and begin a big discussion on animal care...

Michael saved a bug on stage during a concert, so I don't think they could have such image from him lol
