The game -- currently untitled -- will essentially be "dance karaoke" ... which means gamers will see Michael Jackson dancing on screen and will then be challenged to imitate his moves.

The game will be available on multiple platforms including Wii and Xbox 360. The Xbox version will incorporate Microsoft's new Kinect motion capture technology -- which will allow the gamer to play without holding a controller.

Also in the Xbox version, the gamer will be judged based on full body movements. The game will process the movements and display the gamer's avatar on screen ... dancing right next to MJ.

And there's more -- the game also includes a karaoke feature, in which gamers can sing MJ songs like "Billie Jean" ... and even mess around with their voice thanks to an autotune feature.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft -- the same people behind Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon -- and we're told Ubisoft properly secured permission from the MJ estate ... so it's all legit.

The game is scheduled to hit shelves sometime before Christmas.

Abstract

A complete cDNA encoding the acrosin-trypsin inhibitor, HUSI-II, was used as a probe to isolate genomic clones from a human placenta library. Three clones which cover the entire HUSI-II gene were isolated and characterized.

Overview of Genomic Cloning Methodology

Cloning is a process of producing great quantities of identical DNA molecules within a host, usually a bacterium. It can also be done in Eukaryotes. Genomic Cloning refers to the production of a library of cloned DNAs representing the entire genome of a particular organisms2. From this library, you can isolate a single cDNA or gene clone.

A genomic library is usually a collection of phage, plasmid or cosmid clones that contain randomly-generated fragments of genomic DNA (Boulnois, 63). The fragments are random to insure that the entire genome is represented. Making one of these libraries is broken into two general categories. First, the preparation of required biological materials (i.e. vector or genomic DNA). Second is the actual preparation of the library using the prepared materials. A good library should have cloned fragments that are large enough to contain whole genes, yet not too large as to disrupt mapping by resctriction enzyme cleavage (Glover, 37).

In order to clone cDNA or genes you need a vector. The vector carries the DNA after it has been cloned. One such vector that is commonly used is derived from bacterial plasmids. Another vector is from the bacteriophage lambda. These lambda based vectors tend to work better because they can carry more base pairs of DNA. It is important that the fragment that you are cloning is within the size range of the vector being used.

Genomic DNA can be taken from any cell or tissue to be cloned. First, restriction enzymes are used to partially digest the genomic DNA. This insures that the clones in the library will be overlapping. The clones overlap because some genes have more base pairs than can be placed into a vector. The DNA is then size selected to make sure that it can be inserted into a vector successfully.

Jackson Fans Will Moonwalk In Motion-Sensing Game

Michael Jackson fans will be able to moonwalk next to the King of Pop in a new video game to be released this holiday season by Ubisoft Entertainment.

The as-yet-unnamed game will be among the first to use new motion-detecting camera systems to be available later this year for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. The announcement was made Monday at the E3 video game show in Los Angeles.

The game will also work with hand-held controllers on Nintendo's Wii and on the smaller Nintendo DS and PSP portable console from Sony.

The game's launch will roughly coincide with the planned sale of a new album containing unreleased Jackson recordings in November.

Ubisoft marketing vice president Tony Key says as part of the game, players will learn how to mimic the late Jackson's signature moves. Key says, "You are going to learn to moonwalk."
