August is just a preliminary hearing.  The actual trial could be another year away.

About the trash cans, TMZ has been focusing on the trash cans since the June 25th.  They always hold the shot on the trash cans.  It definately has some meaning.  If you do a search on the forum on trash cans, you will find all the discussions on it.
