Sorry guys, but can we get back to the original topic - Joe and Katherine Jackson’s 60th wedding anniversary?  I'd really like to find out why there is mentioning of it taking place in Las Vegas, while 2 out of three pictures show it took place in Beverly Hills.

I'd also like to know why Mike and the kids are not in this pic, while it was taken at the very same restaurant:

but when was these pictures taken? what date?  the real 60th anniversary in november (after MJ-passed) or in May?

This doesn't look like any of the children (Jermaine, LaToya, etc) are in the picture either. Maybe it's just grandchildren? But then why aren't Michael's kids in there. Maybe they had already left the party?

Actually for the Jackson's the date is not significant. Remember Joe Jackson day is just any day they celebrate for their father as they cannot celebrate his birthday. Maybe they just found a convenient date in the 60th year and celebrated the anniversary.

That also allows them to have more than one celebration in case someone is missing for the first party. Do they mention the party in Dynasty??

Jacksons Planned Family Reunion For Comeback Concerts

MICHAEL JACKSON was planning a family reunion with his famous siblings before taking the stage for his comeback concerts later this month (Jul09), according to his brother JERMAINE.

The King of Pop was rehearsing in Los Angeles for a 50-date run of concerts at London's O2 Arena before he suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away on Thursday (25Jun09).

In the family's first official TV interview since the tragic event, Jermaine Jackson reveals his shock at his brother's sudden death - and he admits Michael had invited the entire family to join him in the U.K. before he took the stage for what was billed as his final curtain call.

Jermaine tells the Today show in the U.S., "We just had a big family day. We just had a big surprise for my mother and father, and he was there with the kids. And he said, 'I'll see you guys in London, it's going to be really exciting...' All the grandkids were there, my mother and father, everyone."

I think Janet said  in either a tv interview or an article in a magazine iam certain months and months back she said they got together for her own Birthday (Janet's is in May isnt it?)

This still leaves us with burnings questions as: Why did they have a 60th wedding anniversary 6 months prior to the actual anniversary?  Next to that - Joe and Katherine have been living separate for years, so why a "wedding anniversary"..?

That wasn't a wedding anniversary (at least one of them). The family gathered to talk about the hoax and their roles in the hoax, that's so obvious. And all those 6 6 makes me think about illuminati 666. I'm sure that we can find another 6 related to that "anniversary" meeting.

If Joe and Katherine were really married in November, it could be they planned the party early at a time when everyone could get together - Michael was headed to tour.

A family like many other

On 14 May, the Jackson clan met in an Indian restaurant in Los Angeles to celebrate 60 years of marriage to Katherine and Joe. Most children and grandchildren were there ... including Michael and Janet. A meeting early because the wedding anniversary of the "patriarchs" of the family will be effective in November. The opportunity for everyone to find, despite the turmoil and physical separations.

Indeed, the family remains relatively sparse. Marlon lives in San Diego relatively separated from the remainder of the clan. Janet spends most of his time in New York. Jermaine lives in Encino, not far from the family home where Katherine neighborhoods ... but keeps her distance from Joe who moved in recent years in Las Vegas. The city of casinos that Jackie moreover joined a few months ago where he was also installed. In addition, Jennifer has found her sister Stevanne she had not seen for a long time.

While some will criticize the side "overrated" This meeting and the anniversary of parents who are physically separated from a packet of years, after the many differences of Joe. It is also surprising that Michael wants to see Joe when we think back to the words in the interview with Bashir. Just as it is surprising that the brothers did not want to Michael who continually refuses to attend a reunion of J5.

And yet, this is a meeting that smells good family. The tensions and prevent conflicts clearly not the reunion. And it is not a media stunt more because the media were not invited to the event. Now, maybe we can come together despite some resentment toward family members. For, ultimately, it looks like the Jacksons are a family ... (almost) like any other. Proof: This photo shows that even without the fans are aware, large clan meetings are held!

Initially Joe says "my birthday"...  his birthday is July 26th so that doesnt fit.

Katherines is May 4th. so that fits better in the timeline.

Yeah but I thought the Jacksons didn't celebrate birthdays and holidays.  This makes no sense.  It's definitely a big family gathering for something.  Notice MJ doesn't look too happy being around his family in the pic above with him wearing the red shirt.

Michael in so many settings looks sad or very serious. He's had to carry so much weight for so many years, not to mentions carry the weight of his family (and so many others) financially for so many years. He is the goose that lays golden eggs. I agree these events were probably planning for the hoax times. Though Joe and Katherine lived apart, in the grandchildren (greats too) pic, he has his arm around her, and she has always just yielded -- been there for everyone even Joe. They've always been a family that has needed each other. Michael needed them all to become who he became, but now he's the engine that pulls the enormous train.
